I fancy myself as Move enthusiast and here are my notes after watching your games. 1st game vs Agent Venom Move Doctor Strange right via Cloak and Heimdall middle is the saftest bet as it beats most plays. Alternatively, move Vulture and Madame Web right via Cloak and Heimdall left as this beats an Iron Man mid + other card(s). 2nd game vs Surtur Turn 6, move Dagger via New York right and play Madame Web right. This gives the most options in the final turn and minimizes the effect of an opposing final turn Shang-Chi should they have one. However, Shang Chi would likely have been played by your opponent on turn 6 in New York if they already had it. 3rd game vs Thanos Zoo If you put your opponent on Space Stone and Thanos, leaving would be advised as they would have 21 power unkillable Thanos left and Space Stone mid. Thanos is at least 11 power via the Nakia buff and unkillable via Soul Stone, which makes using Shang-Chi a bad play. Therefore, the only realistic shot of winning is with Heimdall or pray they play badly, which they did, and they still won. The most likely play from your opponent is Thanos mid if they don't have the Space Stone. Heimdall mid wins against that option as they can get to 25 (27 with Marvel Boy procs). Left=13 [Iron Fist, Human Torch(8), Doctor Strange] vs [Marvel Boy, Reality Stone(3)]=4 Mid=28 [Heimdall(11), Cloak(5), Vulture(10), Madame Web(2)] vs [Mind Stone(3), Power Stone(6), Nakia(4), Thanos(12)]=25 The better play would be to Madame Web + Iron Fist left and Human Torch mid on Turn 5. Turn 6, move Human Torch right via Madame Web, Heimdall left Left=16 [Madame Web, Iron Fist, Heimdall, Doctor Strange] vs [Marvel Boy, Reality Stone (3)]=4 Mid=32 [Vulture(10), Cloak(5), Human Torch(17)] vs [Mind Stone(3), Power Stone(6), Nakia(4), Thanos(12)]=25 This play also wins vs a Thanos + Marvel Boy proc left, which would tie left. Tiebreakers of mid vs right would be in your favor. Game 5 vs Arishem I would first check Blob to see if he swallowed Alioth, Legion and/or Killmonger. Having any of those cards eaten by Blob does not mean another one could not have been generated by Alioth, but makes it unlikely. There were two cards that were 3 power each eaten by Blob and no Alioth or Legion sized cards. Turn 6, move Human Torch left via Cloak and Heimdall right. This beats most possibilities as it plays for all 3 lanes. It also hedges towards commonly played cards like just Alioth right or Legion mid then Shadow King right. Torch would be safe from Shang Chi as the Vault was the left location and could not be played into. Killmonger could potentially cause a game loss, but it is not a common inclusion in Arishem.

This is amazing! Thank you so much for this comprehensive breakdown! This comment is pinned and I really hope everyone who watches the video reads it. Move is extremely complex which honestly is what keeps it from ever taking over the meta. But if you master it, you have such a huge advantage over your opponent.

Move is the only way i can get to infinite now. Its a slow grind because i move the opponents cards (kingpin, kraven, Spiderman, stegron, cannonball, Scream etc) and if one card that they need is moved and taxed; they back out and run or they see my strategy and crush me at the end. I used to use this deck you are playing with, but too many shuaun chis, killmongers and cosmos running around lately. Surtur decks are hard to counter with some move decks as well. I also use discard and destroy decks and they are very "connect the dots" or cut and dry, where there is no autopilot with move. You have to be alert or you will snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
@NerdDynamite
@NerdDynamite Ай бұрын
Ha! Snatching defeat from victory is super easy. With this type of deck, it’s all about doing the unexpected to avoid Shadow King and Chi. Sometimes that’s keeping your cards still because they “know” you’re going to move them. Move Disruption is definitely fun but as you say, any climb will be slow if the opponent knows exactly what to expect.

vs Thanos Zoo, that was 100% a valid good stay man. What a game, figuring out a win condition after getting Shadow King-ed. That was a massive play.

Thanks! These are the losses that don’t bother me. I knew the play I made was game winning. Everyone loses to RNG and since I can’t control that part, it’s fine.

Move is so much fun idk why people say it's not good. It puts out so much power, and most people expect a heimdall on six so if you do anything other than heimdall on six you almost always win.

💯. I’ve grown to enjoy decks that require you to use your brain. There are so many tiny decisions early that matter late. And I’ve played against plenty of Move players who don’t use Heimdall when I expect it.

I watched this video in chunks, but I must ask as someone who typically does not play move very often, does multiple man serve any purpose? He does great for me in Phoenix Force where you can beef him up, but I know in pure move, board space is important, and I don't know if have a bunch of 3 powers clogging up your board is helpful. I'll have to look through again but am just curious if he has good utility or if there is a better option. (Edit: Looked through and it doesn't seem like he was even used once, so in a way I think that kind of answers my question)
@NerdDynamite
@NerdDynamite Ай бұрын
😂 at your edit. So… your point is very valid. But to expand on Multiple Man. He works with Araña to become 5 power, there are some locations where he’s useful, and then with Heimdall he can leave that lane with 13 power or tie an opponent’s Shang-Chi. He is also a fantastic lane clogger though lol. So I’d say to use Kraven if that’s a bigger concern.

@@NerdDynamite Good points! I gotta pick up Arana, since playing more move/bounce. Great vid sir.
@ThaWonderMann88

Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of playing Multiple man because of the space on the board he takes up. Unless you have ways to buff him (Forge, Hulk buster, Gwenpool, Galacta, etc) I wouldn't rock. I actually suggest Hercules if you got him. Helps with unpredictability and it's an extra move. For me, Arana on turn 1, Madame Web (left or middle location) on 2 and Hercules (middle or right location) on 3 is almost a snap condition depending on what's in the hand.
@NerdDynamite
@NerdDynamite 10 күн бұрын
Yep. I kind of agree with Multiple Man. Barely played him but wanted to show a very traditional move deck. About Hercules though… I have a personal hang up with random cards. Hercules is very good but I have to pair him with Living Tribunal or in bounce to give him full control. Move is fun but I’m not a huge Move player, so willing to concede that I may be wrong about Hercules in regular move.

The absolute mad man, playing a perfectly normal move deck in 2024... Most uncommon thing is actually including heimdal probably 😅

😂😂 Move will always be off meta, so felt comfortable showcasing it. And gotta include Heimdall! Just having that option is great, even if it’s obvious.

I have no aranna, ghost spider and maddame web Is there any way I can still make move deck viable?
@NerdDynamite
@NerdDynamite Ай бұрын
Yep! It won’t be the exact same but should be close enough. The real power is being unpredictable. As for substitutions: Kraven, Miles Morales Spider-Man, Nightcrawler, Polaris, and Spider-Man 2099 in that order. My thought is to replace cheap cards with other cheap cards to keep the turns flexible.

I’m a fan of Hercules! What I’m not a fan of for this specific deck, is the randomness of him. Move is difficult enough for me 😂. Hercules is fantastic for Living Tribunal move though because who cares about where the power is?

That’s a good point and I could see either side of that. My thinking was that Shang plus Dr Strange on the last turn is more flexible since you can destroy their power and also move yours if needed.

What's happening here, Mr Nerd? That looks a lot like a normal persons deck? Arishem absolutely sucks. That card, more than anything else, will be what pushes me towards my next timeout from Snap. I don't think I've ever played an opponent that doesn't play Quinjet on turn 1, and they'll always have the tech card(s) available to go up against whichever deck you run. Another rule is they'll always pull a Mockingbird and Blob too. I just don't understand why it isn't made into a separate game mode. New players could go in there and have a chance to try out a whole host of different cards, and it may help them make decisions on where to spend valuable resources.
@NerdDynamite
@NerdDynamite Ай бұрын
Lol. This is by far the most normal person deck I've ever shown. But nobody really plays pure move so I figured, why not? Arishem doesn't bother me too much, but I fully understand why people don't like that card. There are a few cards that have a big informational advantage, Pixie and Gwenpool also come to mind. But Arishem specifically doesn't feel earned and it's impossible to play around. I've done a ton of recording so forget the specific video, but at one point I say that it's impossible to play around any card with Arishem so you just have to play like they don't have any counters. That's a bad experience.
@bellers23
@bellers23 Ай бұрын
@NerdDynamite yeah as you say, with other decks such as Pixie, you have to earn the right to having one-sided information. You have to draw and play that 1 point of Pixie Power onto the board. Arishem is granted bonus energy as well as the informational advantage just by being in the deck,doesn't even need to have been drawn, let alone played out. There doesn't seem to be any desire for them to change it, and plenty of other cards and decks have been ruined in their quest to keep Arishem as is.

Really like move type feel like it keeps you engaged most Very different from say ongoing or onreveal or destroy or discard where your combos are fixed and it feels repeatitive I see you excluded kraven in the list I feel it gives us ability to win a lane basically on it own as it routinely goes to 2-8 or 2-10 why was it benched 😅
@NerdDynamite
@NerdDynamite Ай бұрын
Ha! So move definitely keeps me the most focused. I’m pretty sure this was the most I needed to edit out silence because I was just staring and thinking. Kraven can definitely grow and is worthy. My thinking was that in this specific list, you would then want cards to move to his lane. That opens yourself up to an easy Shadow King or maybe Shang. My strategy is to spread my power. Also, I needed a spot for Shang, or any surprise card, to make sure my opponent can’t just expect Heimdall and do the math. Kraven ultimately was the 12th card that got replaced.
