im60 plus, got my first bowie album 52 years ago,got my first drifters single one year later,,then the chi lites, and then stevie wonder singles and albums,eg him at age of 11,singing castles in the sand,,then discovered him even younger singing ,contract of love,,and then all of this masters work there on ,and all the motown crowd ,all of them ,who came here to the uk,totally unknown in the very early 60s and became STARS,i remember mam and da putting on old films,,yeah even musicals,on a sunday afternoon on the telly,i remember listening to my dads nat king cole,,,,etc etc etc,,,we could go on and on,,Led Zepplin, pink floyd, radio head, tom jones, englebert humperdink,,,yeah ,i do have all and hundreds of other music memorise and many many vinyl records, albums,ep,s,,,,,,around in the mid to late 60s,then the fantastic and brilliant 70s and so on and on,,,,,but i can honestly say ,that i would not for one second ,wish to be young now ,although in my head im still 19 years old,,,,,seriously,,,ive had the best of the 60s,the 70s,the 80s and so on and on,,,,and thankfully to my mam and dad remember all the old films on telly on a sunday afternoon ,,,i seriously worry,,,,WHAT ON EARTH,is there for the youth of todayand i know i sound like my mam and dad,,,,,and do youy know what,,from a young kid in the mid 70s with spiked differently coloured hair, permed hair, long hair, shaved hair and now NO HAIR,,,i couldnt be more happy and do you know why,,,,,,,because in comparison to NOW, although i may not have much,,,i consider myself extremely fortunate and very lucky to have been born when i was,,and for that,Thank you,Mam an Dad

Be young, be foolish, but be happy Be young, be foolish, but be happy Don't let the rain get you down, it's a waste of time A waste of time Have your fun, live everyday in the bright sunshine The bright sunshine Well, it's the same old story all over the world Girl meets boy, and boy meets girl So be young, be foolish, but be happy Be young, be foolish, but be happy Don't let love slip away, slip away Live your life for today, for today Life is too short to worry about unimportant things Unimportant things Reach for the sky, touch your star, and then you find your dream Find your dream 'Cause dreamin' alone, it's a shame indeed But if you got love that's all you need So be young, be foolish, girl be happy Be young, be foolish, girl stay happy So be young, be foolish, girl be happy Be young, be foolish, girl stay happy So be young, be foolish, girl be happy Be young, be foolish, girl stay happy ... @@shirleygray4569 A whole different world back then when older teens looked out for the under 10's ( without using them to carry drugs or knives, youth clubs were every where and the weekly disco set your heart ablaze, mainly to see the girl/boy you fancied and to hear the music you liked both new and old. I wouldn't fancy being a youngster again today, too much time spent on their phones and lacking in communication skills, not to mention the gang mentality of some. KTF from Sunny Cambridgeshire.
