What I like about Northern Soul is that everyone had room to dance and express themselves. Today, the discos and clubs appear to be crowded (perhaps to maximise profit) so the only dancing you can do is bopping up and down.

They all look like there really enjoying Themselves. Wish they had these clubs down are end of the country. We havent got anything like this down are way.

As a Canadian kid I remember first seeing northern soul on TV in the 70s. I thought the fashions, music, and dancing were just so cool. It makes me very happy to see that this scene still survives in the U.K.. What I wouldn’t give for a time machine!
