This is the best beach in NS for agates as far as quantity and quality combined. How cool would that be, us rockhounding in NS!! No pressure on sending anything. I do like that Poppy Jasper though......😉

I wish I could find pretty rocks n crystals at my beaches, but my home is too young. We only have bluestone and lava rocks here. If I want nice rocks for my tumblers I have to get them from eBay.

My understanding is that carnelians are more of a dark blood orange colour. This one is definitely like that but I can see how some people could see it as red.
