Ive been fishing off the rocks down Gourdon, Johnshaven, Crawton etc for ages, but have just started exploring shore fishing from Peterhead to Macduff - I'm really enjoying it and this video is right up my street! Where you do it is every bit as as important as the fishing itself.

nice video, I've been going over there for decades and fishing there for years. I was there having walked from Peterhead to Scotstown car park last Thursday. I caught 2 turbot right on the Kirkton head in among the boulders just as the tide started to flood. Next time I'm going for the big one (Turbot) and I plan to camp out and fish right through the night.

Thanks, Great stuff Kevin 👍 I wonderd how the fishing would be on the sooth end 🎣🎣 Aye they seemtae bite well low watter wae the flood. I was planning doing a night trip sometime also, ma wife boacht glow stick thingys fae lidl a couple weeks ago for tying tae the peynt o the rods. Iv had a few nice sized turbot off that beach but a few years ago now and a few brill, that decent sized one is oot there jist waiting fur yer hook 🎣 Its a lovely beach tae relax and fish 🎣🎣

I fish that beach quite a lot. Biggest I’ve caught is a 2lb or so turbot. There has to be bigger out there though

Flounder taste like Halibut but the flesh is mushy kind compared to the firm flaky flesh of halibut.

Thanks Colin, I used tae catch Turbot years ago but was with gill nets, nae with the rods, we have had plaice, Dabs and a Monkfish though. Aye we had some nice Cod last weekend the biggest was 7.5lb which is decent for nowadays, will be posting a wee video tomorrow fishing on oor boat Rachel May, Watch this space lol
