Hi Jake. Next time your getting those bites that looks like they are hooked but nothing there. Try picking up the rod and very slowly/gently lift the rod to carefully break out the lead. It's something I got from match fishing videos. Striking can often rip the hook out of a fish. Worth a try 👍

Thanks for that tip, as you may know I’m more of a boat angler when setting the hook is super important. Unless using circles of course! I shall try this when I’m next on the shingle. Thank you for the tip

They are from temu mate. So far very happy with them. Not sure on the brand though. About £35 each but I believe made in the same factory as one of the high end reels. Thanks for watching and pleased you enjoyed it!
