Whitebait can be a good bait but quite delicate. Hook once through the head and once through the body tip off with a bit of mackerel to keep them on (use 2 or 3) Cast smoothly - they stay on quite well! Seagulls seem to have no idea what they are - probably never seen them before!!!!
