Hey Merrill, Just got back from Florida. Your Honey Badger Scoop performed very well. Excellent tool added to my arsenal. I used my Deus 2 for the first time in serious mode... Located one gold ring and one silver necklace. Ring was about 6-8 inches down, necklace was near surface. Love the tones that beach program produces. I bounced between the two beach programs and a modified program of my own. The scoop makes a huge difference in recovery time and amount of energy used to recover a target. I located the owner of the necklace and returned it to them. Dad was very excited as it was silver and a graduation gift. Still not using the MI-6. Just not me for now. Thanks, Paul

I regularly hunt a beach with a strong shore break that pulls the rings right off of peoples hands. I've learned where the best zones are and when to hunt that area. It's not easy, I often get hit with chest high waves that push my ten feet or more off of the target.

Hi Merrill. Long time subscriber here, great video as always.... I live next to the beach here in the UK and this is how our local beach looks after a hot day. It disgusts me too that people would leave all their crap on the beach and just walk away. A few years back after a hot day there were 40 tons of rubbish removed off the beach!... Take care and happy hunting

I live in Pennsylvania near a popular lake where new Yorkers are bussed in. The day after a holiday the beach is closed because of bacteria in the lake. We've been there and have seen people changing dirty diapers at the water edge and washing the kids bottom in the lake. Beach is closed for several days.

Wow Merrill, what a bunch of slobs that use the beach. Unfortunately besides the lack of coins we are going to see more of the trash. People nowadays need to watch some old Don’t be a Litterbug commercials. It’s like people with cell phones now they obviously can’t carry the phone and their trash. It’s nice to see you back out. Will the go terrain track without having an xp? Thanks as always for the great content. I had a deus2 , but I never to get my ears in sync with it. Everything was loud to me and I never could tell differences in size or depths as I can with Minelab or Nokta legend. I think full tones ended up being the only way I could detect with Pvm tone? Anyway, app wasn’t available when I had Deus, but I can see where it can be a useful tool.
@MetalDetectingNYC4 ай бұрын
I understand that it is what resonates with you. Yes GoTerrain will work with any detector. There is a push function that only works on XP detectors that tracks the target ID and plots it on the map (it does it automatically). The GPS will work perfectly with other detectors but you would have to add things manually.
@MetalDetectingNYC4 ай бұрын
Please remember that the Deus 2 has an equalizer. So you can adjust the tones to your liking.
@mdsouthcarolina61434 ай бұрын
I used it for 6 months straight, adjusted equalizer, etc… tones were just not settle enough for me as a Minelab or legend. In comparison it is what didn’t resonate with me with Garrett’s also. I think the difference between those two is that the Deus is more sensitive. In this video the first ring you found , to me, was as loud as the aluminum can. When using I had a hard time determining whether it was a surface quarter or a buried can. I also dug a lot of iron with it. To each their own. I’m not new to detecting and believe me u spent hours watching Gary and others really trying to justify my investment. In the end I sold to someone who could appreciate it. At the time i really wanted Manticore, but it was about near impossible to get one. I looking at purchasing one now. Thanks again for the great videos and do definitely deserve your position with XP!
