Just hearing your joy when you find another treasure fills me with joy. Thank yoyuu for sharing these wonderful videos with us. And the south shore of LAke Superior is the only place in the US where I have found Amethyst. And I've found great fossils there, too. Keep on hunting and posting!

Many years ago an uncle of mine who was interested in geology found an amethyst on the beach at a small village on the west coast of Scotland called Dunure. The rock that it was embedded in was granite and your amethyst looks similar. Really enjoyed watching your channel.

I thought I heard you say corn horal! Hahaha! Let's add that to rhubarb for rebar. The last few years that I worked, my coworkers and I kept a list of all the funny things we said. We had quite a list! I can't believe you picked a piece of amethyst right off the beach! I wonder if there could be more in that spot. Thank you for a great video. Just an observation, that hilly shorline behind you is made up of red clay. You can grab a chunk of it and dry it out very slowly and make things from it.

I have never done a lot of hunting on the south shore. You make me want to give it a shot! I think Dad kept us away because my Mother would have insisted a lot of that driftwood ended up in the yard. Lol

Another great beach in Wisconsin is Crescent Beach in Algoma, Wisconsin. So many fossils and 1/2 mile of rocky shoreline. I don't know what I'm looking at, but I always leave the beach with a pocket full of amazing stones!

Great video, we too get excited with some of our finds . In the short time we've been rock hounding we've been lucky to find many fossils on Lake Michigan on our western shore. Petoskey stones also. I'm expecting to rock hound Lake Huron and the Straits this Summer from our friends place. Can't wait.

That shell imprint looked like a nose. The host rock on that amethyst is the granite that it derives from occasionally. I have a ton of rocks with shell imprints too I love finding them too. Nice video

Yeah she's a beast...i will say we went down to canal park yesterday and I was mad I didn't bring my swimming suit, the temp was the best I've ever felt!! And I found my best agate in a host rock lol

So many great finds ! It is amazing how many fossils came up this spring. You found some really nice pieces. For some reason this is the year for fossils in the Lakes. Actually I am finding them in the rivers also. But mostly the Lakes. Enjoyed watching. Thanks for taking us along :)

That really lovely shell impression was, I believe, of a brachiopod. Colonial rugose Coral, (a collection of horn corals) forms petoskey stones. I love fossil collecting on the beach.

I believe the host rock on your large amethyst pebble is a type of K-feldspar gneiss or granitoid. Which would be interesting since I am Alllll the way on the east coast! It is abundant on our shoreline but as far as I have seen not with amethyst attached! Nice find!

I love seeing how excited you get about beach glass lol-I live off the Atlantic and would gladly trade my huge amount of beach glass for your minerals 😂 we have some agates and jaspers that are pretty but they’re usually very small and perfectly tumbled so hard to cut into slabs for cabbing etc. it’s so funny how especially with rockhounding/mudlarking the grass (glass) is always greener l,so
