Beaches for the Brave quick look and play

When I was a kid in the 1970s, we received the the giant Marx Toys (Guns of) Navarone playset. It would have been even more amazing if the playset mat was configured to play a game like Beaches for the Brave with green/gray plastic army men.

Just received my copy and it is great! I was a bit concerned after watching your play through that the game would be too linear decisions wise, but its not. It’s fun it’s fast and I’m probably gone end up ordering the others. Thanks Mike for the games and the videos, very nice! 👍

Hey Mike, are your books available as PDF files? They would play great on an iPad with the pencil and a dice app. I’d be happy to pay full price for a PDF, instead of buying a printed copy and scanning the pages myself.

I’m sorry only via Amazon, but I know people do photograph them on iPads and use the edit photo function to scribble on the screen. Works very well.

I have the first 3 books by Mike, and think this latest one the graphic design is little bit... "unattractive" and odd. The previous books using hex and square with simple art, it looks ok to me, but using circle in the Beach version, humm..... plus the tank artwork can be improved. My 2 cents, Ok, it's time to finish watching this video :) Thx Mike again

@Hakuna Matata You are, of course, entitled to your opinion and I respect that. For people in a country that has its own Amazon site the book should come in at around $15 (US) and will often qualify for free delivery in a day or two. For the price of 3 or 4 coffees, I personally think they are good value. I have received 100s of pieces of feedback here, on Facebook, BGG and Amazon and people seem very pleased with my books and the prices. They compare very favourably with similar types of book game by other publishers. In terms of being polished, the rules are crystal clear and error free, which is essential (and unfortunately rare) in wargames. I spend many many hours producing each game and for that the price seems fair to me. The graphics are functional (and probably more attractive in my other books). I always think gameplay is far more important than looks. Thanks for your interest.

@@mikelambosolitairebookgames Agree 100%! Game prices are insane and while I dont mind paying for a good one there's NO real guarantee that its a good one! 14.00 will allow me to buy the series. And I agree, playability comes before beautiful graphics! Look at the video game industry. I used to hear people say things like, "The game is not that good but the graphics are incredible"! Meh, who cares. Give me a fun, engaging game any day. I have a good imagination anyways!
