At 9:45, if you slow it down to .25 and pause it right as the ball hits the net, you can see the ball never went over the tape. In fact, it hit a bit lower than that which explains why the net curved in towards USA and shook so much. Tough call but looks to be correct.

half of the ball was on top of the tape and the blocker clearly stops it and sends it back.

The ball wouldn't pass the net, but i think IT DID hit the hands of the block ! Tough angle to be 100% sure 🤔 Why not replay from another angle ? 🤔🤔🤔

Seems like she was far enough off the net where it wouldn’t touch but I imagine it would be very hard for the ball to not touch at least a bit? Tough one for Australia to end one. 🤷‍♀️

@@danacr6893 I slowed it down and it looks like the ball hit below the tape (so much in fact that the net was pushed in and curved towards USA). I have a hard time believing that a blocker would touch a ball that far down. Sucks for us

Ref's need to go to spec savers. Ball was clearly touched on the net... great game Aussies but u were robbed

The ball definitely looked to be below the tape… but they should introduce a replay challenge system in sand volleyball like they do in indoor. Great game but the Aussies weren’t robbed, they just fell under pressure🤷🏽‍♀️
