What I like about beaded ropes is their feedback and they're easier to keep slow. Which makes learning stuff easier in my opinion. It's like training wheels. Once you've got something down with the beaded rope transfering it to a speed rope is pretty easy.

@@MarKE123 and that is part of the reason I like a heavier rope. Simple physics. The extra mass keeps a nice loop at much lower speeds. You can also feel where the rope is better. One of my warm ups is to jump with my eyes closed. With the beaded rope it's nearly automatic. With my licorice ropes it's a little more difficult and makes greater demand on my timing. With a wire speed rope - forget it. All timing. You'll end up owning several ropes anyway. I like Rush's rope alot. The handles are very nice. BTW - long handles are a game changer. As you get different ropes you'll notice they all have their own characteristics. some you'll like, others you wont. What I don't like about beaded ropes - they punish mistakes. Straight out of 50 shaeds of gray stuff going on.

Also, another advantage of beaded ropes over speed ropes/pvc ropes for doing freestyling tricks like releases is that the "arc" that forms remains very intact and sturdy whereby the arc still goes along with the momentum of swinging. With the pvc ropes, tricks like mic releases could still be done but the user would need to pay more attention to keeping the arc shape intact because there're no beads to strengthen the arc.

Depends which Rush Rope. With the money rope I’ve broken a handle working on mic releases. There pretty durable but my mics are so bad so the handle was slamming on concrete. His icon rope however has a super durable handle. Its made out of a different material that is meant for freestyle.
