Thank you for this video!!! There are many instructional videos with excellent instructors. I have tried so hard to bead a cabachon. It always comes out wonky. You do yours a little bit differently and, what can I say, ':) you got the magick. I think I will be able to do it straight and right for once, lol. I'm going now to finish the video and look for more by you. Thanx again.

Great job! Watched from beginning to end. I still don't know exactly what a Cabochon is, though. :)

Hey Darwin! Thanks for watching! A cabochon is any gem or disc, usually glass, or resin or semi precious stone used in jewelry making (usually flat on one side).

The beads for this project can be any size you choose. I used size 10 seed beads and a size 11 beading needle. Size 10 is a great beginner sized bead. The largest of the seed beads. As the number goes up the size gets smaller. Hope this helps!

@@beginnerbeadingwithjanetd1485 is the banding the same size of the beads?
@beginnerbeadingwithjanetd1485Ай бұрын
@@kimpilz9953 banding comes in many different sizes and styles. There’s also metal banding as well as plastic. Some have rhinestone and some have beads. So yes, you can find banding to match the size of your beads.

I glued and tied down my cab and it came unglued still and messed up all my nice beadwork and now it's all bunched up ): any tips ??
@beginnerbeadingwithjanetd14852 жыл бұрын
Try using a polymer glue like E6000 to glue your cab down. If using a gem type cab use fabric tac. Make sure you’re using stiff felt (pellon) to bead on.
