Some real nice picks here, especially Om! I think Geoff went into my local record store's stall at Green Man fest (the fest Swans was at too, also a nice pick!) a few weeks back, nice as hell bloke I was told.

Saw the guy picked up Om saying it was his favorite San Francisco band. Instant like, they are pretty cool, but a little... Dazed and Confused.

how can they be Krautrock if they from Uk??

Because Amoeba doesn't know shit.

I mean krautrock generally means the music of the particularly fertile and stylistically distinct exlerimental psychedelic scene in Germany during the 60s and 70s, and if a band has a similar vibe to that scene, that band could certainly be described as krautrock

Wait, I totally didn't realize you were in the band until just now, haha. "Ohm" is the correct pronunciation, and it bears a bit of significance in the hindu faith - some sort of holy syllable recited during meditation, which is why mispronouncing it stuck out so much. Also, I've only ever talked to one welsh person to my knowledge, and It wasn't until well afterward that I realized he was speaking english at all. Your accent is totally mild by comparison :)

Yehhh.. I have a bee in my bonnet about the use of "British" in that sense - kinda see it like just saying somebody from France is simply "European", there's 4 distinct countries in the UK... aallssoo - I was moreso just drunk and online, thus trolling. Most folk I know pronounce Om like that, how would you say it, Ohm or Aum or somesuch? We've also all god weird voices so things do sound a bit odd - christ, I sound like I'm choking on a sock the whole time.

1) We're not "british". They're English. I'm Welsh. Different countries. 2) I'm so very sorry that our pronunciation isn't absolutely fucking spot on. So sorry. So so so so very sorry.

You're all from Britain, no? I do use "British" to complain about the English specifically though. We americans tend to get a bad rap (especially from the English, although maybe that's just me) as far as being aware of other cultures, so it's weird to me that the English don't seem to bother to go anywhere beyond a phonetic english pronunciation of anything foreign. It's baffling that even "Om" is somehow too confusing for them to get right. Hope that qualifies my statement
