Back in the last 70s my mom was 16 and just started working at a dairy queen. This was back when they had refillable bottles for the tables. The ketchup came in huge cans. It usually takes 2 people to manually open them. My mom was helping another employee but they were having a hard time turning the gear on the can opener. They were almost finished when the it slipped and splattered on the floor. The owner of the store had heard it hit and came over. He made my mom and the other employees scoop it all back in and fill the ketchup bottles. They tried to reason with him but he refused to listen. My mom told me that as soon as the owner left for the day.. they dumped ,cleaned and refilled all the bottles with fresh ketchup. The owner never knew any different but greeted and served the customers like nothing happened.

Used to work in KFC in Europe and have seen once a team member spitting in the flour that was for breading the chicken. Over all KFC is safe to eat, but I would take a look into the kitchen and check the overall hygienic appearance of the employees! Working myself as a cook (not @ kfc) now I always take pride in the food I serve, even an unpleasant or unfriendly customer or anything would make me even thinking of contaminating food. I've had ladybugs land on my food. I just shoo them away and continue eating. But if a fly or roach touched even a small part of my food, I throw it all away. In my container of organic Spring Mix, I found a perfect shell of a molted dragonfly. It was very pretty. But, I tossed it, washed my greens and had my salad. Some bugs and animals are filthy and carry diseases. Flies, rats and roaches are my top 3 of filthy bugs/animals. Some bugs I consider to be clean. Ladybugs, spiders, grasshoppers and bees. I'm sure there are more. And some bugs, I eat and love: lobster, crab, mud bugs, yogurt and yeast breads. Animals like lobster and crab are related to cockroaches. But a lot cleaner.

She grabbed them out of the trash and washed them off and threw them on the grill. Saying as hot as the grill is it would kill the bacteria 😑😒 When she walked away one of the girls kept watch while I bagged them up and yes I threw them away! She did this with cabbage leaves and her husband even got in the dumpster one day and fussed us out for throwing away a container of strawberries, goes on ice cream, because it had mold in it. I was also astonished when I went to a German McDonald's. I live in Denmark, where all the employees wear very nice uniforms and everything is clean, and my order is always right. In the McDonald's in Germany, however, they had just a "uniform" that consisted of a single shirt that looked 20 years old and was definitely one-size, as everything looked XXL. The manager, who also served, just wore everyday clothing, and not like impressive clothing, but more like what you might where on the weekend when you are home alone. They were all of different ethnicity, which of course is completely fine, but gave me the impression that it was not an environment privileged white college students would ever work in, which probably meant very low wages. When they added caramel sauce, they also just put it in the bottom instead of in a spiral around the side, so I choked the first time I took some. Just to point out that McDonald's are extremely diverse around the world, and personally, I trust my McDonald's much more than those in the video.

Having worked at McDonalds I agree with them, the meat is taken from hard frozen to the grill. There's never a long enough period of time for flies to lay eggs and hatch into maggots. Someone would have to leave the meat out for at least 48 hrs.that would mean multiple shift managers not following basic policy. Even then the breakfast shift makes entirely different food on the same equipment including warming trays. Even if Someone overlooked a patty in a tray the night before, irate breakfast shifters would throw it away and report the night shift. I HATE MCONALDS, The food tastes like cardboard and I would not wor, there again but this seems Uber suspicious.
@oahuhawaii2141 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's obviously fake because the eggs and maggots won't survive being fried, and flies won't land on the hot patty to deposit eggs or maggots.
@bvoyelr Жыл бұрын
Came down here to say the same thing. Moreover, the hamburgers are frozen raw -- pretty sure you'd have uncooked meat in the burger for maggots to survive the cook. Thus, it's far more likely that some clout chasers planted maggots or just plain left the foot out themselves.

Only takes 1 fly which lays tones of eggs. Very easily done no matter how clean you try to be a single fly big or small can still pop up n buzz about. Could have been from the restaurant but also could have been eggs laid at the meat processing plant/storage factory before it was delivered to restaurant or even in the delivery vehicle itself.

@@AnimalLoving-24 If the fly survived the cold long enough to lay eggs on the frozen meat they are still grilled and then kept in a 180 degree warmer until they are served. In my mind the scenario would have to be an employee left it out already cooked for days for a fly to lay those eggs and for the larvae become that developed before serving. @mariebelladonna4372 жыл бұрын
@@norma8686 yeah, no. I work at McDonald's, and that would NEVER happen. No possible way. Nothing is kept longer than 15 minutes or so, after it's cooked. Most stuff doesn't last that long anyway (meaning we're so busy, it gets served long before it gets old). The stuff that does, is thrown out after a certain time (15 or 20 minutes at most, for things like McChickens-fries get thrown away even quicker, IF they last that long) because after that time, the taste and quality drops off sharply. Yes, there are times this doesn't happen like it's supposed to, and food is kept longer than it should be. But I'm talking extra MINUTES. Months??? Hell no. Absolutely not. No way in hell. That's ludicrous to even suggest. Also, all the dishes, everything in the kitchen, is swapped out and washed, at least once a night. It would be impossible for something to sit undetected, for that long. Even raw product doesn't last long enough to have maggots. It's simply used way too quickly for that to ever happen. Plus, it's kept in refrigerators/freezers, right there on the line. It doesn't have to chance to get warm and rotten. Again, I'm not saying there isn't a rare occurrence. But as a rule, not an ice cube's chance in hell. And not a snowflake's chance in hell that would be served to a customer. Even if one asshole wanted to serve something bad, there's too many workers on the line, and in the store, for them to get away with anything that big. It just. Wouldn't. Happen. Period. I don't believe that, for a second. That meat probably stunk. But I think it smelled like a scam.

Here in South Africa one KFC location was filmed sharpening knives on the ground and hosing down raw chicken outside in the back of the restaurant. Their excuse was they were washing the chicken before they threw it away.

One summer at a concert venue near my home I was with other workers trying to get one of the concession stands ready by cleaning the fryers filling with oil and turning them on eventually we heard popping thinking someone put something in the oil to check the oil was hot enough or whatever come to find out it was a mouse that was in the fryer but instead of disposing of the oil the manager made us filter the oil and use it that night for a concert. Another time I caught the manager cleaning mold off sausage and I'm sorry if there's mold on the outside it's probably on the inside after that I couldn't work there anymore when the company tried to say they were following the serve safe rules so nasty

I worked as a Grill Op at waffle house for 7 years from 2009-2016. One time we had mice start infesting the store so we set out sticky traps. By the time i got off shift there were so many mice on the sticky pad they were walking on top of their dead comrades to reach the bread loafs they were trying to eat. After being off for 3 days once, i came in and the pan that we put the sliced tomatos in hadnt been changed since the last day i worked, and there was a dead roach in the pan floating in tomato water and the cooks had just been throwing new slices into the pan right on top of it

Great, although gross, video. Can't tell you how many times I have found cockroach legs in soup and fried chicken! Clearly a limb with joints and the spiky things. Calling it to the attention of the staff, every single time (!) I was told it's part of the breading. Every single time it was also my last time at the restaurant. Purchased some sliced salami from a major grocery store. Got home and was going to make sandwiches but first I wanted to give a few slices to my dogs. Grabbed a few slices and found maggots making themselves at home between the pre-sliced salami. 🤢 Yeah, boys and girls, please look before you eat. Thanks for the trips down memory lane. 👍 🖖🐾

I went for a meal with friends this past weekend, first time I'd been out with these people for over 4 years. We went to a well-known local pub that serves food (in the UK). I had scampi, peas and chips with tartar sauce. It tasted like it had been cooked the day before, left out then thrown in the microwave. The scampi was like mush, the peas were dried up (I didn't bother with the chips) and the tartar sauce was congealed and tasted strange. I spent all day Sunday in bed with a bad stomach and the best part of Monday too. Never, ever again. I normally cook all my own food from scratch. I have left this pub a scathing review on Trip Advisor. Others on our table had mixed grills. The sausages were burnt black and inedible. None of us stayed behind for tea or coffee - we'd all had enough. Ruined what should have been a pleasant get together.

There's cameras all throughout the restaurant - kitchen and back areas included. Maggots surviving the cooking process is very unlikely, but even if they did there's at least 2-3 people who were just not paying attention or didnt care enough to notify their respective manager that "Hey there's somehow maggots on this solid frozen patty they possibly couldnt bore into even if they wanted to, and also somehow survived the heat of a clam grill for nearly a minute"

As he said, the taco shells were already waste. They were being thrown away. They were never meant for customers anyway, as they were being used for training. And the damn picture was taken on purpose, for an company encouraged employee goofy pic competition (which makes it even stupider that they fired the guy). But yeah, they weren't ever going to be eaten by anyone, much less customers. It was a joke. That's all. Guy shouldn't have lost his job over it. But, gotta comfort the pearl clutchers. 🙄 Also, birds get into Walmart all the time. They fly in the automatic doors...

@@josephbooker259 you're fine lol. And, I've done both. But mostly fast food. Which is where I am now. But yeah. I can go along with that. Bad as fast food companies may be, and as much as my salary might suck, being a waitress was definitely worse. Depending on tips to pay my bills was (and, for those who still do it, is) ridiculous. And, at least in my experience, the coworkers at waitressing jobs are much more cliquey and exclusionary. Not to mention it was absolute hell on my back. Fast food has its drawbacks, too, for sure. I had to take all the food out to clean it and then put it back in. We'll one of the sections full of meat I was taking out. When I got to the bottom layers it was all expired meat and had fungus growing out of it. One of them so big it bust through the plastic. One of the managers heard me talking about it ans grabbed it all before I could video it but still. Be sire your checking dates if you live in Greenville lol.
