Strangely this race was more similar to early Caucasians in siberia. Due to weather and migration pressure. Then again like you and the original poster have established is the Japanese government is overbearing and your always walking on egg shells with their laws.
@Bacteriophagebs2 жыл бұрын
@@Horde334 I think people romanticize Japan for two reasons: 1) we get a lot of entertainment from there. Since around 2016, Japanese manga have outsold American comics in America by such a huge margin that any one of the top 3 manga titles outsold the _entire American comics industry combined._ Then there's anime, which is even bigger. The other reason is that the "Far East" is and always has been exotic and interesting, and Japan is one of the few nations there that have all the comforts and technology we have, if not better, while also having a ton of history. And for the record, Japanese people don't necessarily hate foreigners/white people, they mostly just hate tourists and military, people who refuse to conform to their customs and generally act very rude by their standards. If you speak Japanese and follow their customs and behaviors, most of them will like you, and if you speak Japanese fluently, they will LOVE you because it's like they've converted you to their side. Of course, unless they actually know you, even if you speak fluent Japanese, they'll assume you're a "gaijin" tourist.

They will only attack of they feel like they can't flee. Thus, you most likely won't even have time to reach your weapon before the bear attacks you. Most bear attacks are actually done against hunters, who are obviously carrying a weapon. Bears are more likely to attack hunters as hunters generally don't make noise and hide their scent. @@urielmartinez2161 Well the US as a whole is a proof that it is false. Even when anyone can carry weapons anywhere, it doesn't stop criminals. It just makes them more violent, because to succeed their crime they must attack first before their victim has time to defend himself. There are far more violent crimes in the US than in any other developped country. There are more school shootings in one single year in the USA than all other developped countries combined had during the last 10 years. @@theKashConnoisseur This is so wrong headed. This goes double for citizens of the United States, where this particular inalienable right is unambiguously enshrined in our constitution. Hence, the saying should be: "when you try to make guns illegal, you are a criminal for attempting to abridge an inalienable right". Not obeying a "law" that violates a fundamental right does not make one a criminal. This doesn't mean that one getting caught with a weapon that a governmental body has forbidden is not without consequences, it can certainly make one's life difficult. However, being declared a criminal by a tyrannical entity does not make the declaration so.

If my wife and I go tramping off the beaten path any significant distance we also bring 45-70 rifles. Black bears, grizzly bears sometimes up to a thousand pounds, moose that run over 45 mph and way close to a ton, wolverines, large packs of wolves and coyotes, angry wild lynx, not to mention the potential of running into unfriendly people far away from any potential help or witnesses! Things get crazy out here sometimes, luckily alaskans are heavily armed and competent. Ready to deal with whatever we have to.

TBF, Japan had a history of restricting the individual right to bear arms prior to their defeat at the end of WWII. Arguable going back to the 16th century with Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the feudal lord that restricted arms from peasants in an attempt to unify and consolidate control over Japan.
@mazikolla43392 жыл бұрын
@@leonardwei3914 Nope. You’re talking about the brief “katanagari” that happened during Hideyoshi’s short rule. Civilian’s owning firearms only became strict after ww2. Even the Edo period and Imperial Japan was alot more loose when it came to firearms. During the Edo period, civilians owning firearms for protection(用心鉄砲) or to keep wild animals away from farms was allowed to some degree. Some provinces even had peasants owning more firearms than the ruling samurai class did. It mostly stayed this way until the Meiji restoration when minor restrictions were introduced. The restriction that was introduced in the Meiji period was the official categorization between military firearms and civilian firearms. Rifles that became no longer in service by the military such as the Murata rifle became accessible to the civilians. They were sometimes converted into shotguns and were popular among Matagi hunters and Ainus. Hell, even the mailman during Imperial Japan was required to carry a handgun while working. Majority of these civilian firearms were taken away due to the “demilitarization” process during the US occupation, followed by them imposing strict firearms law against Japanese civilians.

In other words, its the “Americans” that implemented strict gun laws in Japan. Lets not try fabricating history.

Most of them say they were not even aware of the bear until it made contact with their body. In fact, as you read each successive bear attack story a recurring theme becomes apparent, almost every grizzly attack starts with “upon entering a thicket”. There was a crazy story about a shed hunter attacked by a griz in WY a couple years ago. He said the griz came out of nowhere, bit him in the side puncturing the bear spray he had on his belt causing it to spew and the bear broke off the attack.

fun fact: i lived in Japan, and long guns (including shotguns) the weapon, ammo, AND firing pin have to be kept in separate safes. #NoThanks 🙅🏾♂️

Not gonna lie, I was laughing throughout that whole video 🤣 😂 💀. I think this guy can consider himself lucky that he was attacked by a bear that was essentially the bear-equivalent of Kelso from 'That 70's Show'. 😆 🤣 😂

Plenty big enough

@@solomonnesby6281 True, but in compairson that one was rather tiny. There are bears out there that can be 3-4 times the size and weight of that one in the video. Shit is terrifying.

He fought that bear off like a CHAMP! Thank God he was where he was and that he got the high ground. Had this happened on flat ground, I don't think he would have had a shot. (link in reply below to original video).

I’m regularly armed when I hike and camp, but honestly, I think some bear spray would have been the best defense here. High stress situation, while climbing wouldn’t make for the safest scenario to discharge a firearm. My dad found that out while we were hiking. We came upon 5 rattlesnakes right in the middle of a rock decent. He pulled out his 22 and shot. It ricochet off the rock and ended up in the palm of his left hand, leaving us in the middle of the forest with a round lodged in his hand

Very good points Colion. Like you said, that guy is lucky to be alive today. I just heard of a grizzly bear attack on 2 guys in Wyoming where all they had was bear spray which they were unable to deploy. They were lucky that they survived the attack but they ended up in the hospital.

Hey In Canada we can’t carry a handgun into the bush legally for a hike either buddy. We just ask the bear to stop attacking politely.

Mr. Noir, another great argument on your part. Human beings have the natural right to defend themselves against all predators whether they be four legged or two. Thank you.
