The beard whisperer “. Great video , i’m just starting to get to that point in my life , to change things, like growing my beard and shaving my head, I am bald on top but have hair on the sides, I moved to a place that nobody really knows me , this is the best time to change it, or me, I usually grow a beard just for the winter and keep it short, not this time , going full force, thanks Mahesh , haircut tomorrow.

May I add sir, controlling stress will help grow your beard longer. I noticed when I was working and stressed and not sleeping right that I would pull our with normal brushing 3 or 4 long hairs a day. When I went on vacation and was sleeping right and less stressed I pulled out maybe 1 hair a day. Just my observance, Cheers!

Hey Mahesh, great video. Very comprehensive. I have a question, would you say that growing a big moustache is the same as growing a big beard? I have no trouble growing out a beard, but every time I've attempted to grow a lengthier 'stache, I always end up accidentally biting the hairs, getting crazy ones that curl in every imaginable direction, and it's just a crazy mess. I do brush and oil my beard every day, but the moustache seems to be quite rebellious and refuses to be tamed, leading me to always trim it just above the top lip. Any suggestions?

I needed to see this today, I'm about 15 months into trying to get to terminal length and this month it seems like I've gone backwards let alone not grown. It seems like it's falling daily but not growing. It's looking shorter and more compact than previous months and I was debating trimming it down or going to a long goatee but I'm gonna stick it out.

@Gauntlet19853 жыл бұрын
Trim... Otherwise just as with your hair... If you get split ends and don't trim... They will continue to split until that section of hair just breaks off.. This will leave you that much further behind and not seeing any results.

I have found that your beard is okay with just a general face wash in clean water. But after say 3 days your beard needs attention. I have tried different products and have personal ones, but you need to use beard shampoo and conditioner and have a pampering day, it is rather relaxing actually. As for time scales, i am in no rush, my beard is me.

I find that i have loads of split ends, and when i brush through with a comb i get tons of small hairs which i presume are split ends coming away from the root, i oil every morning and tend to balm after work, i wash with beard wash 3 times a week and water wash the other 4 days, using oil after, but it does nothing to help the split ends
@shafserious28056 жыл бұрын
Sonnycheese somethings causing the split ends. May be a cheap comb, sub par beard oil, savage handling of the beard, using cheap shampoo, too much frequent washing. You need to investigate.

Long beards, and you don't mention Jack! Haha. But seriously, I really can attest to #2. From week 2 I found Beardbrand and started taking photographs of myself like that. It was great at first as the change was super noticeable, but by week 8 or so I got a bit down since just by sight I couldn't see it gtting any longer. But I still took the pics. At 90 days I checked properly and compared nad was surprised at how much it grew even in the last weeks. I want a big old beard. So definitely keep doing it! Speaking of which, it's time for the week 15 picture.

Hello Mahesh, question , when you have time, I have good growth and volume, but it does seem the right side of my beard, is most dominant, as it seems thicker than the left side. As I am trying to grow a long strap goatee with some nice points under the jawline. What I find myself doing is try to compensate, kinda thining the right side to keep it balanced looking, and waiting for the left side to catch up with volume, albeit. the left side seems to grow longer faster, would you suggest , just bite the bullet and let it rip and not touch it for a yr.? It looks ok after water wash, blow dry and some argon oil, lays ok, for the day, but kinda looks hacked until I get it trained for the day, shape looks good, or shall I start over, and commit to not touch it , presently about 3 inches, and have kinda been trimming the ends in hope everything catches up, then let it rip, any suggestions? Thx, J.C.

A beard has been around since the beginning of man. It was what resulted from letting nature do it's thing. It was representative of not doing any maintenance of shaving. But the more videos like this that I watch, it seems a beard nowadays requires the maintenance of a vintage Italian supercar. It's the exact opposite of low-maintenance. My God!
@5688gamble2 жыл бұрын
I just decided that I was going to do nothing- give it a year, don't measure it, don't analyze it. Do nothing except trim the moustache and upper sideburn- leave it alone and don't think about it, ignore the awkwardness. Like when I had my hair long. I am seeing it now 3 months on. The hairs are pulling down under their own weight more and the length is more apparrent, it isn't sticking out awkwardly as much! Do as little as possible! Give it 12-18 months before doing anything drastic.
