I'm just starting week 3 and as you said, I have growth at different lengths. Not too worried about the patchy appearance as I know it will fill in. I have a trimmer with graded combs, would it be a bad idea to trim the longer growth to allow the slower to catch up and keep it looking more even? Or just leave it all till 30 days and then start trimming?

Hey Jack, great vid as always, especially useful, i am certainly happy with my beard, i am currently 21 and have a full beard, however there is just this one spot where it won't grow lol It is right below my lower lip and above the chin, i don't know how you call this in english, sorry I have waited for 2 months already thinking it will eventually fill but no, unfortunately not. Is it normal that the beard takes longer to grow on this spot?
@SurpassDistance5 жыл бұрын
It's the soulpatch. Every person has different growth patterns and speeds. For me my cheeks are like a week slower than the rest. Though if absolutely nothing has grown there for you after 2 months then the hairs there haven't developed enough yet there

I usually have issues with one side growing in darker and thicker then the other side. Any tips to fix this?
@obi-wankenobi5925 жыл бұрын
Go to a barber or hair salon that do beard trimming and ask them to blend the beard and clean up the lines. They can fade parts of the beard so it doesn’t look as out of proportion as the other side. Or you could shave it all. Grow it for a few days then shave the thicker parts or side then start growing normally. This will give the weaker side a head start and it will look a bit better for now

Patience and hoping it will grow at those spots. Depends on how old you are as well. You can try to raise your testosterone level by doing sport regularly. This raises the level of another testosterone like hormone that can trigger the baby hair follicles to become beard hair. Other than that it's genetic

Is it normal to have facial hair that's 4 different colours? I'm at week 3 and I'm actually getting really annoyed because my cheek hair is red, my sideburns and neck are black, my mustache is brown and blonde mixed and my chin is blonde also all through my beard seems to be lots of light blonde hairs that you can't even see so it looks like I have lots of individual black hairs but there's tons of blonde ones that are virtually invisible is anyone else experiencing this? I didn't know this was possible I'm like a freaking cat with all different colour fur!

For those who had never grown a beard or mustache, let me tell you from first hand experience that it feels like something foreign sticking on your face. No matter how hard you tried, you just can't remove it because it is part of your face and neck now. Its very irritating. Apart from that, it makes drinking and eating very uncomfortable because some of the drink and food will stick to your beard making it dirty. However, the advantage of growing a beard for man is that it will change the man's heart, slowly transforming him into an alpha male. This is not just a figure of speech, he literally can feel the transformation!
