Wall Oven Not Heating

Thanks for the video. I have a 17 year old Frigidaire wall oven. It has power, but neither the broiler or bake element work. Following your video, I removed the thermal fuse and used a "Continuity tester" to test the fuse. The light lit up, so presumably the fuse is not the problem (I think). Any ideas what to do next?

What is the part number for the thermal fuse? All I can find is the thermostat part. Are they the same?

To replace the igniter for the bake setting (bottom ignitor) does the oven have to be taken out? Or can it be replaced in place?

I have a Drop-in Samsung Gas Range and Oven. Today I was making Cornbread. I had preheated my skillet, pulled out of the hot oven, put the skillet on top of the stove, and poured my batter in the hot skillet. When I went to put the skillet back in the stove I spilled the batter down over the control panel and down over the stove front. I went to set the timer and everything went off. On the front are the letters. " SAb " I looked it up and it stands for Sabbath. How do I clear this on the range.? A Jewish stove and oven? Model NX58H9500WS SN 0BR47DDK401058N I tried flipping the breaker to reset it but it didn't work. Burners on the stovetop work fine. Just no oven

Great video Had a problem with our Electrolux double oven, slow heating & not working at times. Checked the temperature sensor, hi temp. Cutouts, elements & everything appeared ok. Checked with a few buddies looking for some insight, before replacing the control panel. For some reason the following procedure is not included too reset the main control panel with the oven manual? The Great Reset Procedure 1. Main control panel, enter the preference / wrench. 2. rse will show no. 3. Enter plus sign & then enter yes. 4. Enter start.

Sounds like a control board issue to me. I would look into that. Make sure it’s get over 120vac to the board. If the board has L1 marked in it you want to check there to N or neutral. If you get 120vac than you need to replace the board.

we have this same wall oven but both Bake and Broil elements do work. the oven does not reach temperature when preheating. If set to 350 °F it only heats to 250 °F. we can't quite figure it out. would this be a thermal fuse issue or control panel one? Tried to follow calibration instructions but the display won't show 0°F

No should be a fuse if it will heat. Turn on broil and see if that is heating. If not it could be a board issue or a bad element. Same with bake. They use both elements for pre heating. If one doesn’t work that will explain the issue. Just need to figure out why one of them is not working.

@@BeardedApplianceRepair all the elements WORK when either baking or broiling. so when the PRE-HEAT beeps the oven is not up to heat is it 100 degrees off - to low. Is it the Thermal Fuse and not the Temperature Sensor?

So I sent the control panel out for repair and it came back and I still had the problem. I checked the Thermal Fuse and it was okay. Nothing wrong with Thermal Fuse. Now I know that the problem is the touch pad because I sent it back to the control panel repair people and the tested it and yep it is broken. The only problem with the oven was heating up to PER HEAT TEMP. Waiting for the new Switch Part #WP8304244. I can't wait to install the new keypad.

Hard to tell without seeing a wiring diagram. They may or may not. What I would do is make sure your even is getting 240vac first and go from there to making sure the control panel has power. If you follow the wiring from the terminal block to the board you may or may not find one of them fuses that prevent power getting to the control. If power is all go than you will be looking at a control board. Make sure first before you purchase one. You cannot return then if it has been installed at most appliance part dealers.

I have a similar problem on my 15 year old Kenmore freestanding stove. It smoked a bake element and popped the breaker. I replaced the bake element and still no bake or broil. The control panel seems to be ok because I can hear the relays working in both bake and broil. Top of the oven works fine - four hot elements. Clock and controls all work. My guess is fusablebresistor on the L2 circuit. What do you think?

Great question. I ran into on where the element blew and short the board out to ground. I would put money on it being your board. You can still hear clicks from the board and it still be bad. I had another one like it today. Board was bad I verified it by disconnecting the wires at the element and tracing where the missing power was from. Traced it back to the double line break relay on the board. Good luck

I am a former radar maintenance chief in the Marine Corps, and have years working on electronic crap. We have bought a new stove. It was a 15 year old Kenmore and I did not want to get into a money pit. I could fix it but it would cost around another $100 and a new stove was only $485, interest free and 10% off with my military discount. It just was time for it to find a new home.

Hey, I've having some trouble finding the problem in our oven. -oven won't heat above 100°c -all three heating elements read ±30 Ω and have continuity -i can find 3 thermal fuses, all have continuity -thermometer has been replaced but still reads 235000 Ω -no visual burning marks in the electronics What should I try next? Check to make sure you have good power. You need 240vac for these ovens to work. make sure its good at the wall and if it is, it is likely the control board that is your issue.
