Do you know the overall height with the lid open? Looking at getting one with the top chest but I'm height limited in my current garage

Im 6’3 with the same set up, i think if you are under 6’ go with the hutch…the top shelf would be really difficult to use comfortably…and if you gotta stand on your tip toes, the chest isnt worth it. I went with the top chest because i can comfortably get into all the drawers and still use the highest shelf, reasonably….

honestly dewalt makes things milwaukee doesn't and vice versa probably best 2 brands to pair together for your tool necessities and im a milwaukee fan boy but both tool brands need eachother in my opinion

The kolbalt version of that delwalt cutoff tool thingy sucks you can’t find blades for it that take same arbor size unless you buy a 3 pack of 2 you don’t need

you definitely see the dirty, but the finish is very smooth so you can literally just wipe it off like you would wipe it off a car panel

I was going to get a new box from harbor freight but by the time I was ready they increased the prices. So I got me a Brand New Craftsman 52 inch top and bottom and I just love the soft close drawers. On the thing about the tools in the drawers being all over the place, that would definitely drive me nuts. My slight OCD needs my tools in order. Even my screwdrivers I have the flatheads on the right and the Philip screwdrivers on the left. But you do you.

Yea I have some swivel sockets and my air tools were in the smaller tool chest on the right. I forgot to mention those. But those are all great tools to have!

Yes it gets dirty, but it is a super smooth surface, so everything dirty wipes right off

Bro that Milwaukee ratchet is better that the snap on! I have both and the Milwaukee has consistently performed better! Snap on is faster but the Milwaukee has more torque

Why in the world would someone put labels on their toolbox drawers. If you don’t know what is in the drawers of your own box… I’ve been a mechanic since 1980 and have never labeled a drawer or have any mechanic I’ve ever worked with. I know I’m going to catch a lot of crap for this post. Believe me I’m not a hater, just stating my observation.

When you have two people working on a thing and you tell them to get in the wrench drawer and get a 10mm, they can just read the label instead of setting up a neuralink for both of your brains and then uploading your consciousness and memories to their brain. The stickers are more cost effective
