@@237g I’m not being rude just brining up the fact that the channels with substantially more subscribers than they get views will get recommended almost never, its still most likely better for her since her target audience is tailored to a small group of people, the reason for that being KZbin is bad and won’t recommend small channels which makes it even worse for smaller categories. And so I’m advocating to not subscribe to her if you won’t watch the videos, just please take that into consideration. It’s kind of ironic since it’s already fixed and no one will see this.

My grandad was in Iceland for 2 years during WWII with the Army Air Corps. He really liked the place and even had a hand in building the airfield there in Reykjavik as an engineer. I've got his membership certificate for the FBI (Forgotten Bastards of Iceland) hanging up on the wall. Because of being there so long, and putting up with two full winters, he swore he'd never again complain about being cold..... and he never did! Miss ya grandpa! @@VladislavBabbitt yeah but when you're working outside all day, getting chilled and wet, then sleeping in either a tent or a Quonset hut... that kind of chill goes bone deep and stays there for a while. Army issued clothing, even the winter gear, in 42-43 wasn't all that great either.

@@caretaker158 I can only imagine that this is unimaginable unless you have really lived though it yourself. One of my uncles was at Stalingrad. He was a POW from 1943 to 1947. He lost a leg. My father was also a POW from 1945 to 1946 in Czechoslovakia, Romania and Ukraine. The 2 other brothers were both injured in Poland. All 4 came back alive. My father was the least wounded, but complained about it the most. The other 3 coped much better than my father did. Their father, ie. my grandfather, whom I never met, was at Verdun in 1916. Some people are stronger in the face of real hardship, and others just like to exaggerate their suffering in order to get more sympathy and attention. What do you think about such things? Some people just like to whine in order to attract more pity.

During my ER rotation in nursing school, I saw grown men sobbing over small cuts or scrapes, or a slight sprain, then saw a friend literally forcing her husband into the hospital because he split his leg open from ankle to knee when his chainsaw kicked. He kept saying, "it's no big deal". Each of us has our own experiences, our own thresholds and tolerances. It's not for us to diminish or demean what someone else is perceiving, whether positive or negative. Also, I don't remember mentioning my grandfather whining about his suffering.... he just said it was cold, he wasn't fond of being cold all the time during that period and vowed to never again complain about being cold... and he never did. I also think you have some very brave, very strong men in your family, even though you don't seem to count your father among them all that much. See, it's perspective.
