Way to go Nev. you are charging through. I hope to see you ANZAC weekend for the flyin. I was hoping to be able to bring my Bearhawk down, but my build stalled in January with work. Keep up the great work.

I’d consider moving the starter button in the range of your left hand. Where you have it would make starting a bit awkward. Left hand starter, right hand throttle & mixture.

Hi Roger, yep you’re definitely right with this, it’s something I’ve been dwelling on for a while. Originally the ignition switches and the starter were slated for the left side of the PFD. Panel real estate being somewhat limited (and another reason in behind the panel) I changed to the current iteration which is going to necessitate left hand on the mixture etc during start. I’ll live with it, but probably next time I’d consider putting the air vents in the wing root to free up panel space.

Looking great nev, enjoying your videos mate, did that oil cooler and mount come from Vans, looks just like what I have on the 10. If your able to get hold of there firewall forward plans it might help you with the layout of accessories.keep up the great work, you will be rewarded when you get flying. Pete.

G’day Pete, how you going ? Yep I got the Vans FWF 540 kit which is really good. Found the plans this morning which are brilliant. Installed the Emags and planning the rest of the FWF layout now. Cheers.

I didn’t hear but may have missed it-How did you form the door cover where your handle is and was that just 1 sheet of Kydex? Foam block and heat over it?
@bearhawkblog35272 жыл бұрын
I made it twice. The first attempt was forming over a wooden block, but the result wasn't great. The final one I only formed the edges and that worked well.

Looks great and amazing progress. You are on course for under 12 months it seems. Quick Build kit I assume? Do you log hours? If so how many hours so far?
@bearhawkblog35273 жыл бұрын
Hi Jay, I log the hours here webuildplanes.com/neville Looks to be about 620 hours so far,
