I was hoping someone would do this. All the army guides are either from when the books first dropped, or on very specific play styles

Really interesting stuff. I’m thinking about Brayherds in the new year and agree that some of the early takes on these armies are in need of an update like this. Dark Elf redux next?

Enjoyed this. Tom is very good at this sort of thing, always seems to have what he wants to say very organised in his mind. Nice to hear some rare positivity about Bestigors as that's how I'd like to run my twenty-odd 80s Beastmen down the line. It does look like a fun army to play and there have been a lot of figures I like for it so would be nice to do it some time.

Single Shartak with Blackened Armour is nice.

Fun review. Some good & some bad takes (Doombull with Wizarding Hat can't take the Jagged Dagger since it's an Arcane item). Found the Shaggoth & Giant Chaos Spawn info useful though, thanks for sharing.

Really awesome to have some in depth analysis that goes beyond "Dragon Ogres + Hagree Fetish: The Army". I love the niche stuff like Cygors and Cockatrices and combat shamans. You can really surprise people. The stone of spite with a Cygor can threaten miscasts on any failed spell. Cockatrices are like Super Heavy Chaff which is a bizzare and endearing role, that I6 is a problem and can make him a total nuisance to add to your pressure game, swiftstride is kind of rare. Beastmen are a Swiss army knife of pain and you can take them in many directions while still playing a pretty "honest" game of Warhammer.

As the name might suggest, my ideas may be jank. However, I have paired the spear with “skin of man” on a hero lvl goat. As a threat and at least turn 1 sniping duties if a juicy target presents itself
