Beasty was outplayed here. Basically his early choice to go for limitanei wasn't the right choice, and the purchase of siege engineering with the cheirosiphon did nothing and was ultimately a waste of resources. Without doing both of those he could have gone castle at just over 10 minutes and that would have given him a huge advantage, but the advantage would need to be capitalized immediately with the production of siege at that stage.

not exactly, limantai was the right choice as he was producing longbows and knows. Also it's just how this matchup goes, the english double tc with abbey is pretty unbeatable. Beasty even made a build order for it for this reason. Beasty did hardly anything wrong, its just how this matchup goes.

Beasty didn't lose to wynguard palace units, he lost to his own mistake, sacrificed his entire army early in the game to get two relics, i don't see much value in that if you can't defend. His opponent simply outplayed him from the start, had better economy. The english would've won even if he made the berqshire palace instead. Wynguard units are good, true, but only if you set up a good economy behind that landmark so when is finished you have the resources to actually produce units from it non-stop, otherwise is usless. The footman are strong, but so are the wynguard archers. I don't play at that level nor 1v1, i find the game to be more fun at 4v4. But i won many games with wynguard archers, only that with those you have to play a little bit different and wall the enemy bit by bit and take the advantage of those archers's range. I think if beasty would've played a little bit safer and do not lose so many units and invest more in the hand gunners earlier could've stand a chance in this match. I don't think he should've chased the english back to their base, only when he was sure that he can end the game. You can clearly see the reason he lost was because the english simply had a much better economy. As for berqshire or wynguard palace. I would say that pretty much every game where i build berqshire was beacause i was forced to defend a position or resources and pretty much everytime i did that in the long run i lost. You can play at this landmark as english in team matchups to defend your ally or yourself, and is good. But if you plan to crush your opponent and win the wynguard is the way to go. Berqshire is more like you are the defence and your ally is the agressor wich can work very well, that if your ally understands this. But if you take in consideration the cost of the wynguard units and the fact that are much stronger than normal units. The archers have more range and almost double the damage, the footman the same, for so little resources, to me is a better landmark. But if you're struggling with resources and you;ve been harras the entire game, and you do not have the economy to produce units non-stop from the wynguard palace, it makes more sense to build the bershire to give you time to catch up. It depends. Yes if you have a clean nice game like the english had in this match wynguard is best. You can't just say one is better than the other. It depends on the conditions. The real damage was done by the crossbows, the footmen were more like the tanky units. Wich could;ve been replace by knights or man at arms and i am pretty sure in this match the english would;ve won even if he made the berqshire. The villeger and resources difference was what won the game in the end.

Hate when a game like AoE4 has to "resort" to made up units like this wynguard crap, that actually look more like an actual varangian guard than anything, that are not just really off historically but also seem really off stats wise. This guys have almost double the hit points of varangian guards who were historically Really heavily armored elite troops, makes no sense... why they went with this? cos they gave some english 2 handed men-at-arms some made up out of place shields and the 2 hand weapon in 1 arm, and that still wouldn't justify it? Why can't they instead go for actual historical accurate troops where there are plenty to chose from to adapt in to the game, instead of broken made up stuff for the sake of nothing what so ever.
