I'd love to see more midweek meal challenges. James' looks really good, I think I'll give it a try soon. Especially the whole grilled leek is something I probably wouldn't have come up with, I usually use leek only for soup.

PradJays it can be. Chefs can work lots of hours and at weird times. Most restaurants are open for dinner, especially Friday and Saturday nights, making dating let alone a full relationship difficult.

I’d be really interested to see Jamie and Mike recreate the concept of this video because I think it would be interesting to see what sort of techniques and inspiration the Packs app provides to the normals. Obviously they are continually developing over time as their skills, thought patterns and confidence are always improving as they’re constantly learning but imo I’d be interested to see what sort of things the normals especially would attempt to execute for a midweek meal by using the skills from the app to help them create their dish. Just as an example I’m wondering what sort of things Mike would consider doing during his preparation time and what skills he can use from the app to help him achieve the result he desires

I too tend to cook with more garlic than typical - it's just one of those flavors I adore. Unfortunately, that does cause a problem when I want to share my cooking... "Five bowls worth of soup? Slice a whole head of garlic in that sucker!" level of garlic ^^;

A different alternative to this: two people against each other in this format but one person orders take-away (with similar articles of food from the food box they show) while the other one cooks (and doesn’t know about the other person isn’t cooking/ordering take-away / no one knows one person is ordering in except for them and the two observers). And it’s never reviled until the winner is pronounced 😇

That formula that James mentioned is very much an infamous thing in the Netherlands. We call it an "AVG'tje", or "potatoes, meat, vegetables". It's infamous because it is associated with poorly seasoned cheap meat, boring cooked potatoes or a bad mash and, the piece the resistance: Way overcooked vegetables.
