Evil Intentions

Күн бұрын

In November of 1993, a five year old girl by the name of Tavielle Kigas of Bangor Maine was found unresponsive in her bedroom, after suffering savage treatment at the hands of her own mother, all because her mother believed her to be evil. Many would say this went undetected by neighbors for the entire month the girl suffered, but was that really the case? This is her story. If alive today, she would be 36 years old. Rest In Peace Tavielle Kigas. You aren't forgotten.

I suffered from ovarian cancer and other gynecologic conditions that never enabled me to become pregnant. I wanted a child more than anything in this world. I will never ever understand how people are blessed with children and abuse and or end their lives. I will never understand it. Ever.

I'm truly sorry, we lost our fourth baby at 17weeks, I know how we felt, I couldn't imagine... and my heart breaks seeing these innocent children lives taken far too soon, when someone else could've loved them as their own such as yourself

The biggest thing I ever wanted was a child. I never had one cause I knew I couldn't take care of one like it would deserve. But people have kids for tax money or some attention, but after that's gone, they suffer. All they need to do os give up the child cause so many want to treat these children like they deserve to be. No excise to not give up a child if you don't want it. It seems so simple to me. 🤷‍♂️

So sorry for the things you’ve had to endure.. Sometimes life is just so unfair & totally out of our control! Though I can say that even as a mother- I will NEVER understand it, either!! And it’s even more frustrating to know that there are loving people out there, such as yourself, that DO want children & would have taken this child in a heartbeat since she didn’t want her… yet “parents” like THIS get to have children (and usually have multiple) & aren’t even thankful for the blessing(s) they have!! And don’t even get me started on judges giving children back to the abusive parent(s)!! It’s all sooo backwards!!!!

Tavielle Kigas was a beautiful child. Despite what she endured, she fought for her happiness and life. Taville's father is just as guilty in my opinion. If he was in his daughter's life, she would've had a chance. He had no excuse. Thank you for informing us about her. She mattered so much!

He took her from all she knew and abandoned her. If she had people she knew around her, family, maybe they could have taken this sweet girl and prevented this. So many ifs are too late. I understand the reaction of no excuse. Can understand. Personal experience I have is, if the brain is broken, it is what it is. This particular situation was probably well mapped and was ignored or written off or possibly no money for medical services. This society can and should do better with mental illness. To treat the symptoms instead of the illness always has a bad end. It's putting a bandaid on a bullet wound. We would be wise to deal in preventing rather than let this happen.

I had a period in later adolescence where I was severely malnourished. That was a very painful and dark point in my life. The extreme stomach cramps. The inability to even think properly or concentrate. Unable to sleep well due to my body needing food. The severe constant dizziness. Muscle spasms/tremors worse than the shivers on the coldest nights. Passing in and out. Walking 6 feet or more becoming more and more exhausting. Becoming so emaciated that the pressure of my own, thin body against the bed left behind bruises, sores, and the sensation of laying on nails even though I am resting on plush polyester. To experience that (and more) UNTIL DEATH, even worse, at an even younger age, barely past the toddler phase, is a downright harrowing thought. When I was at the peak of my malnourishment I vividly remember waking up in the middle of the night screaming in frustration because I was so tired yet the pain and dizziness kept me awake. I remember sobbing profusely halfway from my room to the kitchen because I was getting so weak physically. To think... an adult, her mother, ALLOWED this child, this child dependent on her, to suffer with starvation to the point she actually passed away. If what she went through was even REMOTELY close to what I did it's worth the people responsible spending their lasting days in prison like the girl did in her bedroom. Instead her mother walks free today, having evaded true consequences, ignorant to how truly cruel it is to starve. In this case, insanity claims shouldn't have applied.

@elenaarman-tang7811 I had grandparents that took custody of me when they shouldn't. They were already in dire straits and neglectful (couldn't even properly care for a cat). Made worse by my grandfather getting dementia and becoming very aggressive. I solely depended on my local public school for food and care, but a couple years into my grandparents taking me in I ended up with a stomach condition that made digestion nearly impossible. Everything I ate came right back up immediately. My health really spiraled then because my grandparents refused to get me any medical help. My parents took me back when they got out of rehab. Took me almost 3 years to get back to a proper healthy weight. Still struggle with food fears sometimes (from the condition trauma) and my growth ended up permanently stunted.

Is there anything we can do? Yes, there is. If you see something that doesn’t sit right with you, if you hear something that doesn’t sit right with you, SAY SOMETHING! Call CPS. Call the police, call 911 for an emergency or if you think children are in imminent danger! Call their non-emergency number if you simply have suspicions about possible child abuse, physical or sexual abuse. Keep your eyes open for any sign that a child is not dressed properly for the weather, has bruises or cuts not easily explained, is always hungry or wears clothing that is filthy. If you have kids pay attention to their friends or playmates. Listen to kids, be approachable so if they have worries they will feel comfortable talking to you. Blessings to you.

News normally travels fast in schools and small communities. Her mother taking her out of school, saying they were moving. I cannot imagine kids weren't asking the teachers where she had gone. If the teacher would say she moved the kids reply would be they didn't move I still see her in the wondow prompting alarm bells to go off and someone check. If your banging on a door for loud music normally the next step is calling the cops because its disruptive. I see so much failure here and to think this woman was allowed limited restriction after being locked up where she couldve had opportunity to bring another life into the world (thank god she didnt) but her schizophrenic episodes were brought on possibly by being a mother. Its just sad all around. All these stories and though theyre not all charged centered around mental illness one cannot be mentally well to do these types of crime. Thank you for sharing this story may Tavi rest in peace.

How? We are talking about human children, not animals. Now, while I sympathize with animals, there is no comparison here. The ASPCA was developed before child shelter and services. What does that say about society? The trouble with many is that they care more or as much for animals than their fellow humans. This is wrong! There is no comparison. This was a human child. Where the hell does animals come into the conversation? It is NOT the same difference. Don't get it twisted.

I am a child of a mother with serious mental health issues, growing up I was scared of my mom I didn't feel loved or cared about. When I look back I wonder why my family didn't try to take me away from her?! My neighbors had to know things weren't good in our home because when I was outside playing I could hear her yelling at my sister or father inside the house or just to herself. Today it seems the same mental health issues have taken hold of my sister. And what sucks is we are trying to get my niece out of there because she isn't doing what a mom should. My niece at 6 already ran away and was found in New Haven CT wondering the streets at 8 pm because my sister was passed out in the home and didn't respond to my niece so she left looking for a friend or help. The police told me when I called for help "just because my sister doesn't live up to my standards doesn't mean she's living wrong" WHAT STANDARDS I WANT MY 6 YR OLD NIECE TO BE SAFE & HAVE A CHANCE AT LIFE. My sister brings her to school 45 min late 2-3 x a week, she doesn't monitor her outside, is letting her have a Snapchat & Facebook, they live in filth. When the cops came that night she was walking the streets they said they also chose to arrested my sister based on the filth of the apartment on top of her lack of watching her. But 3 days later she got my nice back and DCF is helping her find a new place but not caring about the dangers we see in the way she's is raising my niece. My sister lost custody for 2 years due to her ODing and they placed her with the grandparents where she had stability, school programs, and constant supervision, clean clothes, meals and not snacks all day. A 6 yr old shouldn't be free to roam the city streets. And it seems like my sister got her back when she wasn't ready to be a mom yet. She leaves her meds lying around, she has proven to DCF that my niece tells stories so now they think that everything she says is a lie. ITS KILLING US THAT WE CANT SEEM TO HELP MY NIECE. And all the court cases are locked because they involve a child so we can't even look up anything. How does DCF keep a child in a home when the moms facing eviction and doesn't even care about finding work or her child having something to do like camp or gymnastics anything besides hanging on the street wearing makeup and stealing things. I fear for my niece but the cops don't seem to think anything of it, they think we are making a big deal out of nothing. So I ask you after reading this little snippet does it sound like I am worrying for no reason and I should back off and just let whatever be be... help us help my niece ✌💜🙃🙏

@Monk-eee 4 ай бұрын
@@Confessions089 I never called DCF, she has had DCF involved in her life since my niece was 2, the grandparents had her and had a cousin that still wants to adopt her but my sister won't do it because it's her child she wants her. And I understand that but if she's unable to give her the life she deserves because of her own addiction and mental illness she won't get under control. IDK what else to do. Me adopting my niece is out of the question because I can't give her the life she deserves, I know my mental capacity. My kids are 21 & 24 grown I can't handle that life again now. If I could I would. My mom's another one who's active in her addictions also so she isn't anyone to take her, and my other sister has a 4 yr old with autism he doesn't speak and has his own challenges which as a single mom she struggles too but she's getting all the outside help she can and he is doing excellent. I just don't understand how they don't see a problem with how my sister is living and thinking it's suitable for a child. Everything needs to be proven and I'm an hour away with no vehicle at the moment so I can't go there to try and prove anything. And my niece has spoken up before but they say she's just telling stories... Sad that she won't even try anymore. She's 6 acting like 16 I'm afraid she will get taken off the street being that she's not even watched outside all day until 8/9 pm.

You really have a great podcast and that’s why I not only come back time & time again but also why I subscribed to your channel. It’s always great how you inform us ( your subscribers, the ones of us who’s watching)about how strong the violence and explicit content on each of your cases both by mouth and by including it where it an be seen before we all begin watching each episode case. Again, I subscribed some time ago bc of how well and informative your cases are despite how horrible the content from these stories are. It’s just the way many people treat others and sadly the evil that we have in America alone. It’s so so sad, hard and frustrating how devastating this world is. The things that goes on right next door and sadly how people like these continue to get nothing more than just a little slap on the wrist and never ever stopped until it’s too late. ADULTS NEED TO GROW UP and quit acting like children! Afraid or say something. Too late to say something. People make me sick, and then they want to mourn after they discover what was going on! They probably stood by her little casket, but "sorry people " it's too late! This child suffered immensely right under and around your eyes! I wasn't even there, but listening to you, Jose, there were red flags and signs that something was off. As I sat here listening, I knew exactly, Jose, that you were going to tell us that she was found not guilty by reason of insanity! SHE KNEW exactly what she was doing to that poor child! Then...she's released? Has an apartment? She can go on and live, while that little baby girl suffered! And...in no way in hell, should she have ever while in custody, been able to visit Tavi's graveside! She didn't even deserve to know where she was laid to rest! Mother or no Mother! She lost that right to the title of being anywhere near called, " a Mother"! I'm grateful to you Jose, for bringing us these stories, yet tragic. You're absolutely correct. It sounds like the same stories over and over again! I knew I should have watched this another day, but I did. Rest in Heaven, sweet baby girl. You are now at peace in the arms if God. You would have been 36 years old today. My daughter is 36 years old. That haunts me that you were not able to grow up and experience life and become someone who could have made a difference in this silly ass world we live in. But....we'll never know now, will we.. That "monster " never gave you a chance...😢
