Tamiqua story was scary because I was almost in her shoes i had a creepy neighbor that had a crush on me when I was 11 one day when I was walking home from school my neighbor asked if I wanted a ride home and I said no and when I started to walk away he started to follow me to my house cat calling me i ran so fast and busted into the house crying and when I told my father what happened he was so angry let's just say he handled it.

I had a similar situation I was 15 and would walk pass this auto shop. I told the man how old I was & he didn't care he followed me home told my step dad and he chilled for about a week. He then said he could give me rides to school. Then I told my older brother & after that he never looked my way in fact he would go hide.

I went to her wake. I was about a year younger than her at the time. There was so many people there showing love. Her Mother stood at her coffin greeting those who came to share their condolences. It was around the time when Missy Elliot’s song “Get your freak on” just came out. I remember posters in her building with the lyrics on it. She loved that song. I didn’t know her personally, but I had friends who did. My family felt compelled to pay their respects. She was just a baby. May she rest in peace.

I mean not even up the block to the corner store and I used to be mad about it but as an adult I’m very grateful. This is a sick world. When I was 12 and got freedom to walk/come home from school alone I was chased up a flight of stairs by a grown man. I was lucky to get away. The first time I visited I had such a culture shock like a sadness for the children I saw walking and running around with no supervision with all that was going on top of other things. I visit often now and it’s grown on me. You hardly see adults out here in the streets (unless in the poverty stricken areas) much less kids. I love NY tho and have such an admiration for the ppl of the East Coast.

I had to pause several times throughout this video. I never get personal on the internet, but Tamiqua's story has me sobbing. Two days after my 11th birthday, I went across the street from my house to my friend's house to ask if she could come out to play in the park on our block. I had been over there many times before and nothing happened. My friend's grandfather lied and told me she was inside. He held the door open, I went in, and I was sexually assaulted by the closed front door. My heart breaks for Tamiqua and her family, and I am so sorry this happened to her. I'm the father of a wonderful little girl, she'll be 5 next month and starting school in August. It's terrifying to raise kids in a world where these things happen, and I used to never be okay with hearing and reading about them on the news. But those like you show me that we should never stop talking about them and with every video you make and everyone that watches and shares it, the world gets a little bit more exposure to know when something is wrong. I’m from Uptown Bronx NYC. I grew up on Burke & Gun Hill, specifically Ollinville. I used to walk the long stretch all the way to my house with my sister when I was in elementary school. In 01 I was 9 and walking home from school when we stopped outside of this very crime scene. I vividly remember this day because it’s the first experience I’ve had with something of this magnitude. When the mural of Tamiqua came up in the hood I used to always stop and admire it. I never knew her, at least ion think so. You know how kids are, they just play. I remember always passing by the mural they painted of her. Something about that mural always felt like she was the hood’s guardian angel. When I started watching ur channel I always wondered when or if you would tell this story because it was one I was surrounded by but never knew. May Tamiqua rest in her heavenly peace. ❤.

Me and Tamiqua would of been the same age. I turn 34 next month. Born one year apart. My family was also VERY tight knit and cautious especially living in NYC as a pre teen at that time. This hits close to home. Hearing the details of what happened to her I had to stop the video several times to finish. This beautiful angel did not deserve that at all. Looking at her photos made me feel as if I knew her. Her light shines in each photo you can tell she was a very happy and loving young girl. I’m so mad that disgusting POS lived so close to her. The way he left her after doing what he did? Like she was a piece of trash??? Not someone’s baby I can’t. I hope she is at peace. I can’t even imagine this happening to one of my friends or family. Sigh…she should be here in 2024!!!! This story absolutely breaks my heart! Him getting life isn’t enough for me but I’m happy Justice was served. I hope the judge that gave him four years probation for slashing someone’s throat is haunted everyday.

I am from The Bronx. Someone very close to my family was also killed by a pedophile at 7. That man was granted parole. The justice system there is rotten to the core. The man who assaulted me was never brought to justice even though I filed a report. He went on to SA a 9 year old, and again, they cut him a deal and simply charged him with assault. People need to stand up.

These stories, especially the ones on babies and children, are extremely hard to listen to. I hope you are taking care of yourself and your mental health after telling these stories. Take care of yourself. Rest in heavenly peace, baby girl ✨️💕

Such a beautiful little girl, the word monster can't begin to describe this creature. I grew up in the 60's and 70's. My grandparents raised me and my 3 younger brothers, and for the first 3 years of going to school, I didn't walk to school or ride a bus, my grandpa had made arrangements with the yellow cab company, and I rode a taxi to and from school every day. For the first year it was just me, but in my second school year it was my brother and me, he was a year younger than me. I was the first girl born in our family in 15 years, so they were very protective of me. You have a very soothing, compassionate voice, we can feel the pain in your heart when you're telling the stories of these murdered innocent children. Unfortunately, as the old saying goes " who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men". Praying your family will be able to find peace, knowing this thing will never be able to hurt another beautiful child. RIP beautiful angel, RIP.

THANK YOU for going back and adding/changing stories when families and friends reach out. What may seem insignificant to many is everything to their loved ones who grieve them. You’ve always done an amazing job being respectful and honoring those who have died anyway but going back through shows another level of how you tell these stories in a way to honor the lives

You take each story to heart. I can hear it in your voice. You have been through a traumatic life changing experience. With your channel and viewers around the world. You share each family and their loved one's story. Like you say they will never be forgotten. That's respect for people you have never met.

I remember when this happened. My family and I lived not too far. Her and I were the same age when it happened and my mom was shaken by it. She attended the wake service and was active in signing the petitions to keep that monster in jail. It broke my heart when my mom told me years later the toll it took on this family.

Correcting the pronunciation and explaining to the viewers the correct way to say it is one of the best ways I’ve ever seen a KZbinr fix a mistake. He was made aware. He fixed it. It’s wild how very rare that is on the Tube. You are a gem of a creator. ♥️

I’m a 78 year old man. I live in California and regrettably never had children but always had great compassion for children. This case tore me up. She was a sweetheart. So sad for her family and friends. She was violated and brutally murdered by a neighbor. He was inhuman, cruel, a monster. I’m glad he’s in prison forever. Child molesters and murderers do not fare well in prison. Every day will be painful for him. Thank you for presenting this case. RIP sweet Tamiqua.

I remember when this happened. I went to P.S.41, Tamiqua was in my all my classes and sat across from me at the lunch table. She’d always wear pigtails and these like denim overalls, her energy was everything. We were the same age, I’m 35 now, and her bright personality is still so vivid. I’ll never forget the talk my mom had with me afterwards, the fact that it was somebody from her own building was unfathomable, especially at that age. Feels surreal watching this now, so many years later. I came across your channel from another video, after seeing how local they are, I wondered if there was a chance you covered Tamiqua’s story and here it is. Great job, you should be proud of how well you handled this, with so much respect and care. A much needed spotlight on the people of these cases that deserve more.

I’m in Toronto canada and I havnt come across anyone who does the equivalent of what you do. I could be wrong, even though I’m not from NY, I appreciate how you shed light on cases from your city that may have been forgotten.

I lived in an apartment complex when my son was 10/11 and I was shocked at the amount of parents who would let their kids run freely into other people's apartments without meeting them. I had kids spending the night at my place, which was safe, and I would ask..does your mom want to talk to me? Nope. They didn't care where their kids were or who they were with.
