Beating Borderlands 2's OP Levels, For The First Time!

(Because people are going to comment about this) I know there are glitches in the audio, and I'm sorry about that. I now know that it's my editing software, and I know how to make sure it doesn't happen next time. Hopefully they patch this bug that's been around for 10 months soon. I re-did the worst parts, but redoing all of it would have made me miss the Saturday release deadline. It is literally a software bug as well, and it all has to do with recording the voice over in Davinci Resolve Studio. I plan to record the audio on another application and then import it, that's the current fix, I just wish I had known this was a bug earlier.

When enemies get stuck in scenery, the Chain Lightning grenade mod is your best friend, get it from Dragon Keep DLC from badass sorcerers, best thing, just cast it in the general direction, and it will penetrate walls to hit the target, not only that, it does grenade regen, so infinite chances to get the hidden enemy.

Congratulations and welcome to the club..OP levels can be a slog but rewarding when you finally beat them. I don't know if you discovered this afterwards but I leave it here just in case: killing Haderax with Maya is easy, you need to have at least 10 points on Recompense (put 4 or 5 on the skill and a Warder Class Mod with 5-6 additional points). Pull the lever and run to the crater before the boss spawns (Toothpick+Retainer combo). If you stand still on a specific point it will die instantly when it swallows you. The only caveats are that you die too unless you've equipped the Captain Blade's Otto Idol and that in order to get this to work on OP10 you need to slag yourself before you receive (and then return) the damage, by using a low level bouncing betty slag grenade, a Chulainn or a slag splatgun.

Yeah, I don't think I could've done the run without it. I remember a solo Axton run I did a while ago farming like 30 times before I got a Harold. I don't think I can ever go back to normal farming now.

Respawn mod is def cheating, but here's the real question. Who cares? It's not like you're competing or speedrunning or anything, you're just having fun and making content, so cheat away!

And that's what I've always thought about games. I usually use some cheat or exploit when I just play normally, and I think cheating is fine, as long as it's not a speedrun or multiplayer game.

I've only really used her middle tree in co-op, and since I had slag (and healing) from the Grog Nozzle and Rubi, I knew the crowd control from thought lock would be way better. It also won my heart being able to control surveyors.

It's actually a bit of code (that I have in the description), and you need to have the dev console unlocked, and there are a few ways to do that, and I used Borderlands Community Mod Manager.

You have to have the developer console enabled, which can be done in different ways, so you'll have to lookup a guide, and then in the main menu open the console and the code is: set GD_Globals.General.Globals RespawnDelayInSeconds 0.000000 To disable it, you can set the 0 to 900 (or how long you want them to respawn) or close and re-open the game.

Very fun video to watch. I know you mentioned you know how to fix your audio, a good program that I used when doing voice overs is Audacity or Adobe Audition. Ones free, ones not. Congrats on OP 10!

@@LookIntoGaming It's a lightweight program a lot of people use. Nothing wrong with using default windows one, but having the extra tools built int such as EQ and other things makes it a pretty handy tool for content creation.

One way to tell is mag size, matching grip gives you increased mag so if you aren't sure you can kind of check based on that. Although bandit grip also increases mag so watch out for that.

It's an actual line of code (set GD_Globals.General.Globals RespawnDelayInSeconds 0.000000) that makes some enemies respawn, and I use it to farm some stuff. It is used in mods, but this just uses the dev console, because I had issues getting mods to work otherwise.

I don't blame you. I've always wanted to try it for myself, but I realized I much prefer quick and varied runs instead. It was very interesting learning how everything works, but the fun did diminish over the course of the run, especially because of farming.

Personally, i feel like the respawning enemies take away from the intended feel of the grind. It's not cheating, just not the genuine game. No hate though its all up to personal taste, and i believe everyone should play how they have fun. Great video, as always, and it was fun seeing how you handled everything

That's how my dad and I play. Farming stuff can be worth it if you like that specific item, but is really annoying to do in multiplayer or consoles, so it's always up to you.

Well... Kind of. DP is better for clusters of enemies, but also takes 2x as much ammo. I would have used it if I got that prefix, but my luck was horrible this run. I also had some issues with pistol ammo in some runs, and the 2x consumption would have made that way worse.

I believe that is a spider tank not a bar tank, and right as you're going down you can see it shooting a projectile at you EVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T LOOKING AT YOU AND IS SLOWLY TURNING IN YOUR DIRECTION. Mf aimbotted you hard. I believe as soon as the other enemy died the spider tank shot immediately at you. As you're going down there is an orange explosion hitting your head area, which could be the spider tanks bullet exploding, although after that another bullet hits and it doesn't have the orange explosion. Either it is supposed to have the explosion and the other just glitched or didn't do it because you're down, your shield caused the first explosion, or it was because of the dying visual fx stuff warping it or something. There was also another enemy to the left shooting bullets after you were down, but I think it was behind the crate before you went down and couldn't get a shot on you, and I also didn't see any bullet/bullet trail, so I don't think it was part of what caused it. But if it did fire a bullet at you that could of hit right before the spider tank shot you as well.

That was the most bizarre thing that's ever happened to me in this game, and I really think it was something to do with Maya's skills and the surveyor. It was most likely bullet reflection of some sort, since the projectile looks like one from the Harold. Most importantly, some bullet reflection goes through health gate, thus why I was one-shot.

@@LookIntoGaming Rewatching it, as the surveryor dies there are 4 orange projectiles/explosions. One does move towards you, but then the next 2 frames it stops moving along with the other 3 and then you just go down. I don't think there was enough time for those to come back and hit you if they were your own harold shots, but then again maybe it just stopped registering them (game visually, or recording software) and in the 2 frames where nothing is moving one or more of them were flying at you. I still think it was the spider tank, but, it could technically be both actually! They both easily could of hit you in the same frame there. On the contrary, it doesn't even look like the surveryors shield is up though, so your shots shouldn't of come back at you for any reason anyways. I don't know if this can ever be 100% confirmed either way because of the 2 frames where nothing happens. The spider tank definitely was shooting at you without even looking in your direction though. This was really a rare occurrence and you just got incredibly unlucky. You got Borderlands'd lmao

I completely understand that. I had some plans to speed it up a bit, but I mess up my speech way more when I talk fast, and with the audio issues, that wasn't an option. There were also way more clips, but I removed a ton to save some time, so this is almost as short as possible.
