25:10 It's because Bloodflame Blade applies 40 bleed per hit no matter what, mormally multi hit attacks like Repeating Thrust get nerfed status build up per hit.

Just to expand on this: Grease just adds a flat amount of status buildup to the weapon that also takes motion values into account. Most multi-hit attacks have rather low status MVs, so the bleed you get isn't as ridiculous. Bloodflame Blade on the other hand doesn't directly add bleed buildup to your weapon. Instead it causes your weapon to apply a debuff on the enemy and that debuff is what builds the status effect. Due to this, it's not affected by status MVs at all.

48:14 no, it's actually supposed to hit you. You can dodge all parts of this combo into him except this jumping upward slash since the light pillars spawn under the weapon not behind you.

Bloodflame Blade probably does more bleed buildup here than blood grease because it's a status effect that doesn't scale and therefore doesn't suffer from low status MVs on twinblades.

14:30 Defence in Dark Souls worked differently, here endgame enemies have let's say 130 base defence and 20% lightning resistance, in Dark Souls 1 they might have had flat 400 lightning defence which made these weak buffs just as useless.

16:53 For the crafting in combat idea, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of item caps? Sure you'll need to menu after you used your item stack, but item caps seem very intentional by the devs. Why implement a cap of 40 bone darts if you can just make any amount of them whenever you want? From my perspective, if you want crafting in combat, you also don't like item caps either.

Neat video, had no idea the Crucible Wings had that unique interactions with Twin Blades. Is there a resource somewhere online to understand the unique interactions between AoW and different weapon types?

For that aow, it's only unique for Twinblades

in the description for that AOW it mentions that it's extra effective with twinblades or something, and the boss that drops it uses the twinblade attack. other than that idk if there's a good resource
