When you see the 万 kanji after a number you need to multiply that number by 10 000. It's read as "man" and just means 10 000. E.g. 1000万円 = 10 000 000 yen Since one dollar is roughly 150 yen you need quite high numbers when shopping in Japan. Keep up the good job on making the videos!
@zemeio11842 жыл бұрын
There are a few Japanese errors at the start of this video, I'll list the ones I can find here. Not that they really matter, but just in case someone wants to know. 2:52 -> The menus are "Roulette", "Status", "Map", "Save" (not card) and "Help" (not save). I imagine at that point the player did not have any cards, so no cards option? 3:00 -> The place it points for your main activity is actually your zodiac sign (aquarius in this case). I imagine the interface changes later when you have a job? Bonus: 5:33 -> your choices are what classroom you go to (1-1 or 1-2). No idea how that affects anything.

It's so interesting to me how much importance is placed on blood type in Japan, so far into modernity. It's often used in character bios as an important descriptor, and this game allowing you to "create a character" with blood type for a game is a wild instance of it being a big factor in "personality archetypes" around the turn of the millennium still. Does anyone know if it's gotten less like that in the more recent past? I'm very tired I just realized I probably typed alot to say very little but I'm not editing lol, sorry.
@arturocevallossoto52032 жыл бұрын
Not only Japan, I feel. I have encountered people who give it some importance. Always in the "health" sense for finding a partner. You will find a bunch of "diet books" and "alternative medicine" books that place a lot of importance in blood type. Like how A+ should eat more milk and meat than O-types. Or how O-types can't handle alcohol. It's 90% NOT based in reality but these are things people believe in.

For the record, it seems that Japanese culture tends to consider red as a "positive" color and blue as a "negative" color (the opposite of Western culture). This is why, for example, in recent Pokemon games, when checking which stats are boosted or hindered by your nature, the boosted stat is in red and the hindered stat is in blue.
