Fun fact: The bull arena was actually build for a skateboard video by a skate company. Tony Hawk (or was it Danny Way?) actually dropped into the ramp out of the helicopter. Tony Hawk even did the looping. The video is called "The End" by Birdhouse.

Fun fact, the "Leap Of Faith" gap in level 2 is a real gap that Jamie Thomas and someone else both attempted and there's a mini docu about how impossible the leap of faith is and how it's now blocked off so no one can try it again.

in the remake, the loading menu for the level says something like "Almost only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and Jamie Thomas." because even though Jamie landed the Leap of Faith, his board broke so he almost made it, but the skating community counts it anyway

The secret doors was an awesome feature because they were connected to the gap system. If you looked at the list of all gaps they all had specific names that would clue you in as to where they might be or hint that it will open a secret door. It made exploring every ledge and ramp in the game fun. This is a game worth trying to 100% especially with all the cheats and characters you can unlock!

You definitely were allowed to use the control stick in THPS 1. That might've been an issue with your emulation. I didn't know I could use the D-Pad until my cousin showed me like a year after I'd been playing the game as a kid.

@@Thabeast721 I could be wrong since I've never used an Everdrive. I just assumed if there were a bug in the ROM for a game (or how it interacts with an emulator), that bug might also translate to the Everdrive. I've definitely experienced bugs like the stick not working correctly with N64 ROMs, but that's with an emulator.

It is just perfect how they translated the PS controls to the N64. D-Pad to D-Pad and Facebuttons just to all C Buttons in the right order, perfect, so C down is X/Ollie, C left is Square/Flip, C right is Circle/Grab and C up is Triangle/Grind

I initially started watching this channel because I wanted to get back into playing Yugioh, but I quickly realized that the game has evolved into something that I have absolutely zero interest in playing. My complaints are the same as most people: cards have an unnecessarily excessive amount of text, turns take far too long, games don't last more than a few turns, and it is extremely difficult to keep track of the game state at times. I switched to MTG and had a MUCH easier time picking up and playing the game. I've spent several hundred dollars on MTG cards since I started earlier this year and I would have spent that money on Yugioh if it had been accessible and fun. Instead I'm playing MTG and I get my Yugioh fix from watching you guys!

This game was huge. People born after 2000 dont understand just how imsane this game was. A genuinely good sequel to a game that was already deemed perfect. And then we got an even better one in THPS 3. Like omg skate culture took over. Tony Hawk was probably as recognized as Michael Jordan, Steve Austin, and the Wutang Clan. Insane appeal. People whod never touched a skateboard in their life played this game. It changed the appeal and thoughts of skater culture. It used to be seen as just delinquents and thugs. How can that be when a 30 year old woman is playing it. My mom whipped my ass in this game on the daily until i learned how to manual and Rodney Mullen became an absolute god at combos.

Road to the World Cup 98 and World Cup 98 are separate games, sort of. The first is FIFA 98, with all the content FIFA fans would expect to see in an annual title. World Cup is stripped down to just the World Cup and a handful of teams that could have made it but didn't, along with some bug fixes and perhaps roster changes to reflect which players actually made the final squad for the tournament. As far as I can tell, this was just EA's way of selling the game to casual fans that only care about the sport once every four years, since it has far less content. Considering they only had a few months and most of the work was already done, you could skip WC if you don't want to be a _REAL_ completionist. :p
