Spent a good couple weeks looking for a damn shiny Lickitung in Legends Arceus with boosted odds because of outbreaks (about one in four hundred?), but it for whatever reason refused to show up Finally found the little sucker the other day, and I cherish him by throwing him in the pasture with my other shinies in my collection :)

Whitney might of had a shiny Clefairy because in the game of heartgold and soul silver there might be this code for Whitney where she has a random set of Pokémon unlike other trainers who have a predetermined set of Pokémon so Whitney might have just rolled the shiny clefairy in her random odds.

Nope, theoretically, if patterz was lucky enough every single trainer could have a full team of shinies, its VERY VERY unlikely, but possible, because when you change the shiny odds by messing with the code, sometimes trainer pokemon become shinyable (idk if there's a better term)

The normal rate is 1/8192, this dude used a rom and cranked it up to 1/257, which is a 16th of what you're up against.

I think I know why the Clefairy and Golbat was shiny it's because he boosted the shiny odds. When the shiny odds get boosted trainers Pokemon can be shiny.

It's mostly shiny hunters that are annoyed, as not just halving the odds, but making them a 16th of the original odds kinda removes the challenge. Half the fun with shiny only is the amount of patience it requires, and the feeling you get when you accomplish such a monumental task. This here is just a step away from just giving yourself a full team of shiny pokemon at the start of the game.
