I was working on the Casbah club here in Liverpool & heard so many stories about the lads from Pete Bests brother, before they were famous, John being left at the front door & not allowed in because he upset Petes mam,also him getting hit over the head be that same woman because she caught him scratching his name with a penknife on the wall he was supposed to be painting in the cellar " later to become the Casbah club. The best was when they went out on the ale in West Derby village ( where the house is & before Ringo) when they got back they saw in the kitchen a big pan with what they thought was stew in, they warmed it up & ate it, next day Petes mam asked where the dogs scraps had got to ? ( they had a big dog called Satan). They all felt like throwing up & darted for the loo. I just missed Paul also, a few months earlier he was seen by a neighbour walking around the house, probably reminiscing about the old days, they thought he was a burglar at first. Funny 😁.

Yeah they remained friendly - just cos a famous couple look ‘amazing’ doesn’t mean they’re candidates for being together no matter what - till their dying day. That’s just a fantasy you’re foisting onto them because it makes you feel good. It isn’t reality in other words - just your delusion - your dream of how things should be. Being part of The Beatles during The Beatlemania Years - was more often than not - a nightmare full of very frightening experiences. The reality was that it wasn’t all ‘roses in the garden’ but bloody hard work with far too many sleep deprived days. It was A Hard Days Night - from start to finish.

Paul was so right when he said it's different what you say something in the US compared to Liverpool. The US as so much drama in their beliefs when british groups say something, they take it to heart and out of context, I believe John wasn't wrong.
@terryhorne25822 жыл бұрын
Just like jokes here in Liverpool, they would probably be lost in USA, remember? Our humour is so quick & can be quite sarcastic, but if you grew up on the streets of Liverpool, you roll with it, or most of the time answer a joke with a joke, it's the only way to survive. Joking apart though, we are the most friendliest people in the UK , you travel to any other cities & just see the difference, especially London. Tara.

See, the point is even if America hadn't interpreted John wrong-- if John really had meant what they assumed he meant-- then it still shouldn't have been such an uproar. People are able to say what they wish to say, their opinions are their own opinions and it is silly that in the land of the free (America) we feel entitled for someone to apologize for their opinion. That is ridiculous. No matter how many times you stomp your feet, how many laws you make-- it won't change a person's opinion.
