Beau was fantastic in this spot against Wisconsin but more importantly Coach K continues to show that he is the best hire of the James Franklin era BY FAR. He's going to need to be at his best Saturday, I'm very concerned about our tackles against the Ohio State edge players no matter who the QB is.

I agree he is a good hire, but still remains to be seen if he is the best. Diaz is on the top of that list along with Moorehead.

Beau 100% increases the threat of our run game vs Drew who increased the threat of our air game. The difference though is we don't have the potential first round draft wide receiver like we do at the Running back position. So Beau's introduction significantly enhances our overall offense because the effectiveness of our strength magnifies with his presence. Had we had Ohio State kind of wideouts, Allar probably would've been in the Heisman trophy contention already. The good news is both of them, Beau and Allar, are playing significantly better compared to last year so I am hoping our offense comes to play unlike last year.

The play at 5:45 -- if Pribula keeps going to his left, Evans looks like he's about to run a deep in across the middle into where the deep middle safety just vacated to pounce on Tre Wallace... does Pribula even have the option to keep reading to his left there, or is that side of the field "no access" once the ball is snapped based on defensive alignment? I hope that makes sense

Editor here, Phil. I'll ask Codutti when we touch base later this week, but it appears Evans isn't "dead" on this play, so yes. Obviously, most QBs won't get to a 4th progression full-field read, but the protection would have allowed that here. If you remember back to our July 2024 Allar video, Coach noted that on a lot of backside 2x2 concepts, Yurcich liked to bring WRs back into Allar's vision...seems like the same idea here. Hey Coach, The play at 5:49, would Omari Evans (on the backside) have been a better throwing option, since Beau had a relatively clean pocket for that play?

It appears that he looked in Omari's direction. The safety in the middle of the field appeared to have that route covered. Maybe they come back to that play this week.

Against this zone neither backside dig would have been a great option, it seems. Likely would have been a similar hold your breath tight window throw to Evans.

Beau unlocks the true Kotenicki offense. Not saying Drew handcuffs them by any means. Drew can sling it, but the extra run threat really opens up Kotelnicki's scheme.

Another Mizzou looking to see what Pribula has. Not very impressed, a bunch of VERY simple plays and he almost threw two picks. Good on the OC for scheming up some good plays. Pribula really didn't show much here other than he could mostly throw to the easy read.
