+Jay Gold very nice , i was just looking where exactly in australia is the gold triangle :) , and i was looking for property for sale around there :) that would be great vacation place to go metal detect :)

+djpitr i believe my gold bug 2 would find that big nugget with the big coil too ;)
@JayGoldNuggets9 жыл бұрын
+djpitr The golden triangle is in central Victoria and is quite a large area. Your idea is not a bad one as there is a lot of undiscovered gold on private property and I'd gladly accept an invite ;) most of the gold in the public prospecting areas is gone... But not all.

Great stuff J. You must have hit on a good area over the past few months. You have probably noticed this already but though I'd just say anyway that this piece when held the correct way looks just like a rhinoceros!! maybe you'll have to name it the rhino nugget. Anyway enjoy your vids and keep up the great work.
@JayGoldNuggets9 жыл бұрын
aar1 Gday Aar1. Thanks for the feedback. Yeah iv hit a good bit of ground of late but its getting pretty thin. But I'm sure there is more out there. You're right it does look like a Rhino! From now on thats whats it'll be called. The Rhino nugget. Thanks for your input, and I'm glad you like the vids. Cheers.

Jay Gold G'day again J. Looks like the value just went up!! if its anything like the opal industry when you get a " picture stone " depending on what it is the value can sky rocket. My old man has a couple of pieces that look like panda bears, go figure mother nature is awesome. Wish I had as much success with my 7k as you but then I suppose I'm not going to find old yella with it sitting in the box, just don't get enough time to get away and chase the stuff and being about 4hrs away from the triangle I can't just duck out for a few hours to give it a whirl. Oh well just have to wait till next time to try my luck. Cheers.
@JayGoldNuggets9 жыл бұрын
aar1 Yeah its crazy what mother nature can produce. It truly is a marvel, and to think that these minerals have been rolling around in the ground for millions of years and potentially come form outer space makes the mind boggle!!! I hear ya, time is hard to come by these days, and you can never prospect too much. Unfortunately being an adult has its responsibilities. 4 hours is a ling time, I'm only 1:50 and thats bad enough. But you should defiantly make time to go out more. And let me know of your discoveries. Cheers.

Very nice nugget. I pulled one out last weekend at about the same weight, close to golden triangle. Didnt get video though. Just curious as to why you run with Auto tracking off?
@JayGoldNuggets9 жыл бұрын
Pat O'Connell Congrats on your find. Make sure you record it next time as I love seeing new gold finds.. I ran the tracking off on that occasion cause the ground was pretty consistent and I'm always scared of it tracking out a faint signal. But i mostly have it on as it does a pretty good job. Cheers Pat.

Ripper nugget Jay. Sure is a beautiful nugget of gold, Great to see some good gold still being found in Vic. What are your thoughts on the GPZ 7000 against the GPX 5000 now. Good video thanks. Cheers Peter
@JayGoldNuggets9 жыл бұрын
peter Tee Gday Peter, Glad you like the vid. It sure is a beauty. The patch I'm working is starting to get pretty thin. I spent 16 hours detecting over 2 days and found 2 nuggets for 0.5g!! So i think its time to move on. :( Iv never owned a 5000 so i can't comment personally, but I'm 99% sure these nuggets have been gone over with them before and they're still in the ground. It does have its quirks, but once you get used to it its a very effective machine. From what iv read, seen, heard it beats the 5000 on most gold. Good luck out there. Cheers.

Jay, another great find mate!! Impressed. How you getting these cleaned up so nicely? I've got a few, tried the vinegar and salt but didn't come up as clean as this. P.s tried to find the option to pm ya but I don't see it anywhere haha. Maybe the new update, or you just don't have it on. Great video, keep them rolling in!
@JayGoldNuggets9 жыл бұрын
Ivica Mecanovic Gday Ivica, i use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean all my gold. Its really safe, just uses water and vibrations and is really cheap. Plus you can clean heaps of other things with it too, like jewellery, watches etc. This is the one i brought www.ebay.com.au/itm/ULTRASONIC-CLEANER-ULTRA-SONIC-SONIC-WAVE-JEWELLERY-CLEANER-TANK-BATH-600mL-/300875933352?hash=item460d9a66a8&_uhb=1 If you want to PM click "about" and there should be a message icon. Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like the vids.! Good Luck!!
@Ivim249 жыл бұрын
Thanks jay, just ordered me some :)) Hey was gonna ask you, I'm experiencing false signals with the gpz7000 to the point where I can't Work out the difference between the targets and junk. Even a twig or a blade of grass is suddenly making it go off. Each swing would give me a false signal, and forget about trying to scrape the ground as it gives me a target signal. I ended up shutting it down and bringing the Sdc out. I've had pretty good success with it up until the past couple of days. I can't even pick up lead shot which usually I'd have a few in the pocket by the end of the day. Anyway I'll be sending it back today, but did want to see if you experienced any of this with your Z. Cheers Ivi
@JayGoldNuggets9 жыл бұрын
Ivica Mecanovic Yeah mate, iv had issues with mine giving off false signals as well, especially in the 'general' mode. Every time it touched a stick, bush etc, it would give off a signal. So i was limited to using 'high yeild' but i never lost any detector performance. I believe we're not alone. Its an issue with the coil and mine was replaced. It did fix the problem for me, but after about 20 hours detecting, it appears thats its starting to do it again. So perhaps its an inherent issue with these coils. Its a big disappointment, especially when considering how much these detector cost. If you don't mind, can you keep please me posted on how your situation eventuates? Id be interested to what they say regarding your detector.
