Um actually (jimmah79) the square lights started being produced in 1978. i have a single cab 78 that has the grill just like that and every part is original. i also have a 74 250 and it does have the round headlights. not to be an ass or anything. old ford trucks is my life. but its an easy mistake. they only started producing the square lights towards the end of the 1978 producing year.

Front lift blocks under the leaf springs? BAD idea. Whoever did this resto should've spent the extra few hundred for arched springs in the front. Otherwise your truck may end up losing its front end while you're driving down the road!

You should never put low pros on these trucks or any truck for that matter. I think it would look better with 18" wheels better than 20's as well but that's my opinion.

i also have a 75' 4X4 that has a 460. my grandpa purchased it new in detroit and he had it until 2010 and then sold it to me. the owners manual that came with it from the dealership shows that it does have a 460 and that its 4X4. the manual was printed in 75'. i dont think you konw what your talking about

@ps3dethman1 One was for sale in my area about a year ago for $10k. It had new paint and tires from what I saw. There's no way it was fully restored though. Maybe refreshed engine, new shocks, new seat covers, etc.. all the stuff you SEE, but not the stuff that gets worked on a day-to-day basis.

Really nice truck...Buuuutttt..... I would have spent the extra bucks on detailing the tailgate, maybe paint the letters, do a two tone, etc. Also, I would have finished the exhaust with some nice tips angled out the sides behind the tires. Just my 2 cents, not like I could afford this truck anyway. Still a fantastic job. Thanx for the vid.

Yep they started building in the 60s as forestry truck's lot of the one for sale are old government truck's and someone got screwed doing a restore for 70grand I did my 78 bronco everything was 15grand in the end and Oem parts

Actually the round to square headlight change was a mid year 78 thing. The early 78's had round headlights and the late 78's had square.

doowopp45 'll have to double check on that. I've always known it as Ranger and up had squares and customs had rounds. My 78 custom has rounds and I'm pretty sure it was a late 78 truck. I'll check the VIN plate and check back.
