A Nightmare To Remember and The Count of Tuscany get my vote for being the greatest songs of the decade for DT. in my opinion of course!

In peaceful sedation I lay half awake and all of the panic inside starts to fade. Hopelessly drifting, bathing in beautiful agony. Epic.

If you er the one who put this together off the raw tracks...good job, friend. I was an active member of the forum when this dropped. There were some KILLER home-made tracks that came out of that, and I think this was my fave. You go, boy!

This is also my fave part of the whole album...well I have to say equal to the ending of The Count Of Tuscany. I wish they would have played more on the feel of the ending of The Count Of Tuscany than that more thrashy middle section. Still an amazing song though. Awesome edit dude.

@xXxheavenqueenxXx I thought we we're talking about uploading music to KZbin. But you're right about downloading. But what if downloading something new and listening to that makes you decide to buy the album? It's a difficult situation. Fortunately downloading isn't illegal in my country. =)
@andrewman1212 жыл бұрын
In respect to your viewpoint, Images and Words is by far one of the purest forms of songwriting ever produced. It is not based on the Industry at all. Mike Portnoy told the band he was quitting the first time because the industry got involved and fucked with DT. He said the band won't survive. They backed off and he continued. The industry fucks everything up, Mike has been clear about that.

well ADTOE was definently played little on the "safe side" (A fantastic album no less) but i personally think it was so they could see what Mike Mangini could bring to the table in terms of integrating his own play style into the drum parts they created for him, so I wouldnt say they are getting comfortable in a certain style, more or less just being cautious.
