I really like your analysis, it is nice to hear about someone talking about more than the familiar and likable actors. I wish that instead of it being seen as a tear-jerker by most, people could really understand addiction is something you carry with you for life. I know you said it was a triumphant end, but in the end he didn't beat it, he subdued it. But it will always be a part of you sadly.
