Love how detailed your videos of camping areas are. As a full timer solo female senior, i have stayed in a few places because of your videos. Thank you.

We just drove through there yesterday! I saw the campground and wondered about it, and then your video popped up before I had a chance to look into it! The drive along that Interstate was beautiful, I loved it. Thanks for the great review! BTW I also saw you guys earlier in the winter when we were leaving Organ Pipe - as we approached I said to my wife "that looks like Ray's rig . . . that is Ray's rig!". You found a nice spot there too with those cool rocks.

We reserved space 94 with the cover for mid-May. Thanks for mentioning that a water spigot is available by the road, so we can add some water to the tank in our trailer. The camp description never mentions where the water is located. I was afraid that maybe, just a hose bib was on the restroom building 60 feet from away from the road. Your video of the river bank showed how pretty this campground is. We are just staying one night, but we will enjoy hiking by the river after breakfast. Thanks again for the info and the Google Earth views were cool!

Thank you for this video. We've been debating about which way we want to go to get to Colorado for the summer. Think we'll head there for a couple days when we leave Quartzsite in about 10 days.

Hey Ray, thanks for all the detail showing us where this on a map. We're staying at Nellis AFB right now and plan on coming up that way in a couple of weeks and will defiantly make a stop there heading up to Utah ...

Thank you for the update & photos. Us old guys get to use the "Pass" and save half the camp fees + free National Parks. Best $20 I have ever spent. Even at the current $80 it a bargain. We got into Crater Lake, Yellowstone & Grand Tetons for free the 1st mont we had it.

Excellent video Virgin River Campground is beautiful. I stayed there a year ago for a few days. My Verizon didn’t work I’d have to walk up to the entrance and hold it up in the air to make a phone call.

That is a nice perk for having the Starlink internet dish. We can use WiFi calling on our phones to call and text, so we have coverage pretty well everywhere except under a thick tree canopy.

I just noticed that the sign kiosk at the main entrance says it has boosted cell service.

We were there in 2015 and meet another couple from Canada. They pointed out some petroglyphs, so we logged it into GPS and wound out at a dynamite plant, only because we made a wrong turn. Have fun again.

I think all of the SW has a cold front. Out temps dropped 20 degrees here in New Mexico was yesterday.

Hey Ray have you checked your grid heater bolt on that truck? You tube it it`s a thing & can be catastrophic for the engine.
@LoveYourRV10 ай бұрын
Yes, I routinely check it. I don't think it's all that common as I'm sure people let everyone know when it happens. :)

Gotta love the gorge this time of year! Glad to hear they “finally” opened back up. Private enterprise would go broke dragging their heels like government does!

Crazy winds here in southern New Mexico today (Sunday). Our Boondockers Welcome recommended we stay here for an additional couple of days for the wind to die down. Luckily we don't make long term plans these days.
@LoveYourRV10 ай бұрын
Good plan. :) I always found New Mexico very windy in the springtime. I guess due to the elevation and location on the continental divide.

That Virgin River Gorge campground is not too far from St. George and it seems like it has been improved, although there aren't any hookups, and therefore if I were to ever take out a travel trailer there, we would need hookups. Currently, my wife and I live full-time in our travel trailer at an RV park in Leeds, Utah.

Ray, is there a way to pay if you don’t have an iPhone ? I’m old school and only have a flip phone for emergency’s .
@LoveYourRV10 ай бұрын
Not that I can see for the First Come First Serve Sites. Reserve sites can be paid online beforehand.

@@LoveYourRV , thanks for the answer, it sure makes a person wonder what the world is coming too. It seems like everybody will be required to have a smart phone. God help us when all the batteries go dead . 🤔.

You're welcome. The BLM ranger does occasionally visit to check on things, so if I see them again, I'll ask what a non-smartphone user is supposed to do.
