It's actually quite beautiful how nature is taking over that house. My concerns with going at night are really about bugs and spiders or snakes I might accidentally step on. Or of course a person up to no good there. I love urbex type videos so anytime I see an old abandoned building, I want to see the whole place be explored.

Thanks for another fun video. It’s nice to see you enjoying yourself in Taiwan! It’s been many years since I’ve visited, but I think it’s got the best street food in the world! Once things open back up, hoping around this time next year, we will go to Seoul, Busan, Fukuoka, Kobe, Osaka and Tokyo. Cool haunted house, I agree the spider vines would have creeped me out. I wouldn’t have gone there alone, or at night but it was interesting. It is a beautiful country, so green and plants grow huge and healthy. I’m glad to hear there are lots of butterflies there, they are dying out here and we need them. Looks like you had a lovely visit with your new friend, so that was nice to see. 🥰🙋🏼

@@LayersOfJenn I don’t know if it’s just here but we lived in Clayton Park, then Tantallon and now here and it’s rare to see them, the only ones I saw this summer were cabbage moths and a few other moths at night. Lots of dragon flies though, we have a pond and they buzz around there all the time. Not nearly as many bees as there should be here and it’s rare to see a seagull as well. Sad really, there are ducks though. We get a nesting duck every spring in our pond and once the ducklings start getting out of the nest she takes them down a little brook that goes by the yard and goes to the ocean. We did have a bear in the yard every few nights till July when I heard gunshots nearby one afternoon .😥 People are shits, it wasn’t hurting people and we are in its area but they were all complaining and freaking out. Anyway, didn’t mean to whine about it. 🙋🏼

It is probably weird seeing two foreign girls walking around with their arms out filming themselves. Oooo yaaas..I would love to go there at night. I love everything spooky and scary.. My bestie and I stayed overnight on the Queen Mary and did a self guided tour the next day. It's was fun but we did not gave any ghostly encounters unfortunately

Because it is free and no charge to get in, there are not any funds to go towards the maintenance of the property. I do see garbage here but it’s the same as what I see in Canada or when I was in the states. I think it also just depends where you are in Taiwan.

It looks so nice!!! Taiwan has a fun coffee culture.... in Tainan I went to the "Narrow Door Cafe". It's literally not a door but a long narrow hole :D Great that you are enjoying your life! On a sunny day you still have over 20 degrees 🌻 Just looking at numbers Taiwan’s winter seems warm but it feels so cold...maybe because the humidity? You always feel wet cold?! I was naively believing it would be better than German winter “Oh, my sweet summer child” 😂😂

Fabulous! I just Lined my nephew in Taiwan to see if it's real that cinema and hair salon are all still open as usual during Covid. Taiwan is probably the only paradise in the world that people could still have good fun whenever you want to. Very well done your filming skills haha. Sooner or later Taiwanese news or media or Taiwanese gov might want to hire you to be the tourist ambassador. Yeah, I remembered watch a Taiwanese ghosts show long long time ago, they liked to visit the haunted house at night.... one of those houses was this one. 民雄haunted house probably is the first thing would come to people’s mind when mentioning this place.

apparently it was when japan occupied taiwan or something? the soldiers were there in the house and a fog came it.. and they all coudnt see each other but heard strange sounds so they ending up shooting (each other). In the daytime it isnt too spooky but, nightime i am sure itwoud be because it is so quiet there.

I am locals . In fact , Minhsiung haunted house is just an abandoned cottage owned by a rich family , which moved to America . The reason why it is said to be haunted is peddlers there and TV show made up eerie folklore and exaggerated long time ago . Though this place is kind of being hyped , it is delightful to see you visit Chiayi . Expecting your next visits !

@@LayersOfJenn MingShiong is famous with pineapple for sure, but you don't really need to be there to have it. The fruit transportation system here in Taiwan is crazily efficient, you can get fruit from any corner in Taiwan within 24 ~ 48 hours to your place. There are several convenient mail order parties which provides you convenience to order outstanding quality of fruits (way better than what you gets from local supermarkets). Thanks to the contribution of the local farmers, the quality of the Wax Apple, Mango, Pineapples, Guava, Dragon fruits really got significant improvements comparing to the old days. It makes Oldie Taiwan Banana not so outstanding comparing to the recent fruit starts. Unfortunately the international trading of the fruits here in Taiwan is not very much linked to the worldwide, hence these super nice quality fruits are mostly available for the local market (but some Chinese makes huge buying to resale these to Chinese Market). Instead of Semiconductors (since you are in Hsinchu), Taiwan is a super branding for fruits in China as well. Just starting to watch your Vlogs, thanks for your kind comments for Taiwan.

What you ate in the beginning is called a 月子餐 (yue zi can). 月子 is a full month of rest for a mom that just gave birth. The meals in that month are specifically made to aid in wound healing, breast milk secretion, etc.. Some will have Chinese medicine in there, hence the herbal taste you mentioned.
