Both Stevie and Christine have genuine soul. Actually, all the members of the band are passionate creative people. It has been a privilege to listen to their music for years now. I've heard this song before and always have the same reaction. Beautiful Stevie's vocals always hit a nail in my heart.I had a dream about my beloved little brother the other night.I remember how he put his head on my shoulder, and I said, Tony? Then he told me, "it's ok sis." When I woke up, I was so emotional. R.I.P. my little brother.

What I like about Stevie as a singer is that she really sings a song as the mod strikes her. You hear her sing many of her standards over and over and she's always introducing new phrasing, lyrics, and nuances so that the live version is not just a a retread of the studio version...more like an alternate take. Love hearing what she'll do each time.

Stevie and Lindsey have always harmonized brilliantly together, but I don't know that they've ever sounded better together than they sound on this song. I know this wasn't one of FM's big hits and their setlist is crowded with Christine back (which is great!), but I wish they'd do this one live more often. Simply beautiful.

What makes this live version of this fantastic song so special to me is how I really feel how much all of the musicians in Fleetwood Mac are themselves so entranced by this wonderful song. Beautiful Child is one of those songs that never was a hit. Look at the views of Dreams compared to this song. And yet, this may be a better song. I think after all these years Fleetwood Mac themselves finally discovered how great it is.

Back in the 70s when I saw FM I wished they would've performed this song. I even hollered my lungs out for it at the Greek in L.A. when I saw her solo. No dice. In one of the versions of this song, (maybe even this one) she prefaces the song by saying that they never performed it live back then. No wonder I never heard it. Anyway, regardless of the mystery, this is onehellofa song. And among my favorite Nicks tunes. Maybe one day the mystery will be cleared up. ;-)
