Lindsay does a great acting job in this performance. Musters up all the tenderness he may have had in the distant past and for the 3 or so minutes of this song focuses it back on Nicks. That is the art in the performance.

That is one of the great love songs. He does a brilliant job of guitar playing, and their singing is perfect for the song. Every time I hear this song I think of the great San Francisco beauty, Suzy King. The minute I hear that first line I see her beautiful face. Summer is over now in the mountains. It is hard to hear that song, and think of her, with autumn coming down.

As popular as he is, Lindsey is a very under-rated guitarist. His chemistry with Stevie is legendary.
@lnghrnfn16 жыл бұрын
I think there is a lot more of this than people realize. I have a story of my own, too. Stevie was only married briefly, to her late friend's husband as a "favor", & never had kids. Lindsey married late & had kids late, but I feel they both still love each other. What sucks is how difficult it is to make choices when others will be hurt in the process....a lot of times innocent children. I wish you well- be happy with whatever choice you make & stay positive! Peace to you.

DVD Is called "Fleetwood Mac Live in Boston" available on Amazon - make sure you get the DVD. It comes as a set of two DVD's of this exact concert plus a CD. This song and the other he speaks of are on the "Say You Will" CD from 2004 - another great CD from Fleetwood Mac.

I'll never forget seeing this live when the Mac was touring this show (2004?) - Stevie and Lindsey sounded beautiful - and like the kids they were all those years ago - Its a special song - its gotta be, for them

He was very married, yet he and Stevie loved each-other for years.you can see the love in thier eyes,during this song. yet, He never left his wife.For years, Stevies love and hurt, showed in Fleetwoodmacs, lyriccs, like,,,'You can go your own way", and "silver thread", and many more. to me thatswhythis song is expecially sad. They realy did love each-other, yet he had a wife, whom he choose to stay with, evan after years of going on tour with Stevie and loving her too

I agree...there's so much emotion in that part. The entire song is just so beautiful. Guess Stevie finally got her love song... I love LB's expressions at 2:34, 3:05, 3:33, and especially 3:55 ( just before the lihts go down ). WOW...really amazing singer and guitar player. The best. THANKS FOR UPLOADING THIS.

"This is much BETTER than the studio version." The original studio version was recorded by Lindsey as were a number of tracks on "Say You Will" for his "Gift Of Screws" solo album. Stevie's vocals for "Say You Will" were tacked on to the original recordings. I actually love the original "Gift" version. This, however is stunning and the guitar playing, as per usual, is sublime. It's pretty tricky to play and sing this. Will see them @ Wembley in October. Can't wait!

One more thing - Both Lindsey and Stevie have separate Soundstages out. You can buy them on DVD. Stevie's just came out a few months ago - she looks amazing! much thinner and really gorgeous if she had plastic surgery - I want to know the name of that doctor!! She looks exactly the same, but 20 years younger! Her skin is flawless. Lori Nicks is a back up on this - basically the members from the latest tour that just finished a month or so ago.

Read in Mick's book the time Stevie said to him, "You don't love anyone but yourself." He physically got rough with her and she made plans to get her brother Chris and father after him. One of the few times he got physically did anything, but their are lots of verbal altercations.

I disagree. This is all for the audience's benefit. Their relationship ended nearly 40 years ago. Stevie has said in interviews that she finds working with Lindsey very stressful because he's still such a perfectionist. They never see each other unless they can help it.
