My brother put this on his myspace shortly before he died. I asked why he put this on his profile, worried if he was depressed. He said it explains his situation well, that it would be a good song to remember him by. I said he didn't know when he would die, no one knows when it's their turn. He said he could tell it was almost his time. He died the following month. He had cystic fibrosis, his girlfriend left him when she found out he was dying. This song always breaks me.

Listening to Ems music is the equivalent of walking in his shoes. If you really wanna try his shoes on, start with his first album, listen to it all the way through then go on to the next album then the next, he tells you his whole life. From getting bullied, to problems with his wife and mother, raising his daughter, drug problems, beef with rappers, coping with the death of his uncle and best friend, recovering from drug addiction....he’s a gifted story teller, he can be hilarious. And his raps aren’t the whole picture, you need to hear the skits on his albums, they fill the albums in and bridge songs together. Listening to songs like this is okay, but to truly appreciate Ems genius, you have to listen to the whole album all the way thru.

The beginning is a sample from a Paul Rodgers concert. Eminem of course, is singing the hook or chorus. It is super cool. I loved the tune of this. This song was a song he wrote while he was in rehab to get off drugs and to get sober. He says to this day that this song is hard for him to hear because of the fact of where he was when he wrote it.

Hello dear Texas Country Boy! I've been watching your videos with Eminem. And it's been great so far! I am fan of eminem for 19 years, since six grade of basic school. Since my 12 years. It's been a long journey. I still admire him as a person and for what he's done. I'm glad you're making these videos and you have never heard of his songs. Your explenations are good and keeping me sane. :-D If you know how I mean it :-). It's great to hear it from an older, wiser man, like you. :). Cheers! Thank you very much. If I can suggest a song I'd like to see. It's hard to choose , cause he's got song on every occasion in life.. But this would be good with me Eminem - Love you more. Or Drug Ballad! Thanks and have a nice day sir! Greetings from the Czech Republic, Europe.

Dude being in Eminem's shoes means loosing your best friend from high school in a shooting, a cheating drug addicted wife, a pills addict mother who will beat you in your childhood for her pleasure, continuous bullying in high school, despite being the GOAT one of the best to ever do it on the mic and still being criticized by some for not being black. I don't think anyone can handle that life :)
