Omgoodness Donna👏👏👏 Thank you so much for this information! I love the fresh greens and floral arranging period. Silk, fresh any and all. I’ve not worked in a floral shop(the one thing I would love to do). I’ve learned from my late mother as well as self taught. Books, magazines wherever I can learn; even now from YOU🥰 I have done the wreath on the front door with fresh greens. ❤️😀

Aw, you’re so sweet! I learnt mostly from trial and error!! I think it's great that you have taught yourself, it's a great skill to have. Thanks so much for watching! 🤗💖🎄

Oh my goodness Donna I absolutely love it all!! Wow!! Your porch is soooo beautiful!! Your wreath and both arrangements are gorgeous!! 💙❤💙I haven't used fresh greenery in the house cause I have to be careful with the smell but I do love the smell of pine when I smell it outdoors. Your kitty is so cute. Hugs🤗🤗🥰🥰 God Bless y'all

Loved this! Again you’ve given us useful and gorgeous information. I have used evergreens in my decor before. Last year I used some arborvitae to make a garland and I left it up a bit too long. What a mess! Oh well live and learn.

Hi Donna! I learned about evergreens from watching this video!! B.C. looks so beautiful. I was born in Seattle although raised in Chicago but have visited the Northwest and just love the nature there. Best of luck with the Bomb Cyclone! Did it hit further south of you?
@creartivebynatureАй бұрын
Aw, thanks so much!! I am happy you enjoyed. Sorry this is so late, I am now playing catch-up. The Bomb Cyclone didn't affect my area, but it sure looked intense from the footage I saw. Thanks for watching. Take care 💖🎄😊

I always used to decorate (a little) with real greens. Boxwood needs thinning, so I always clipped bundles from the center of my large boxwood hedge. Now I have cedar trees, in my yard with low-hsnging branches. I wish my oak tree would drop more acorns. (I don't even have to compete with squirrels around here!) I like pressing maple leaves between wax paper, but drought meant no color this year.😢

We have loblolly pines in Arkansas: 6" needles are hard to use for decor, but I have used their 4-5" cones for projects.
@creartivebynature2 ай бұрын
Ya, the drought has been hard on trees here too. But, thankfully, we have had lots of rain this fall before the ground has froze!!! Everything looks fresh again. Everything sounds lovely Mary Ellen. I looked up the loblolly tree, the cones are similar to our White Pine, but I think yours are a bit bigger! Thanks again for joining me. Happy crafting 🤗💖

First thanks for video sharing many of your great ideas. I have a question, I bought some red cedar cuts from Rona today. I knew that it’s still 2 weeks before I use them to decorate but stores have been selling them since mid November and I was worried that they may run out if I wait. my question is how can I keep my cedar cuts as fresh as they can be until I am ready to make my wreath and beyond? putting them in a plastic bag, misting them well then covering them with another plastic bag and leave them outside? if so should I bring them in and mist them frequently? They are wonders of the nature and I am willing to do as much as possible to preserve their freshness for the weeks to come. May thanks

Great question!! I would actually put them in a bucket of water and place a bag over top. Keep in a cool place such as a garage. If that's not an option, then place it all in a bag, mist with water, occasionally, and keep outside, as you mentioned 😉 I saw places were selling already a month ago!! 😳 As long as you keep them from drying out, the cedar should be fine!! Does it get really cold where you live?
