I'm trying to make my own home studio. However I'm trying to figure out how important it is for the room to be measured and treated. Wouldn't the windows and size of this room throw everything out of balance? Or does it really not matter as long as you know how to mix. Is it not so important if your starting out? If you could help me out I'd appreciate it.
@jhubsley4 жыл бұрын
I think the main thing to keep in mind is that you're making a HOME studio; you're recording music in an environment not designed for that purpose. There's a sort of DIY, "make use of what's on hand" ethos to home recording. The character and "imperfections" of your space become a part of what you make.
@jhubsley4 жыл бұрын
You should listen to the album Skylight by Pinegrove. The band recorded the whole thing in a house, and they have a mini-doc where you can see them working on it. kzbin.info/aero/PLbDfCl0rifZsCzWGQsk8zMILDM8149S4X
