My grandma had 8 babies in the 1890’s and early 1900’s…… well over 100 years ago! She always said “ each time you deliver a baby, you go down into the valley of death”. I had my baby’s in the 1970’s and there was modern medicine, but even in my day there was no epidurals used regularly. Best wishes for your newest baby in the 2020’s. Thank heavens for REAL Modern ways and medicine. Good luck!

You know, my Grandma had 12 kids in the early part of the 20th century. I never thought about labor as going down into the valley of death, but she was so right. Even with modern medicine, I had 3 days of a very difficult labor and felt life slipping away from me. Praise the Lord my baby and I survived because of emergency surgery. Bless your Grandma and all our grandmas for walking that walk of pain. It is a legacy of “momhood” I am truly grateful for.

My grandma had 11 babies in the early 1900's.. I'm not sure if my moms oldest 2 siblings were 1900's or late 1800's. I remember my grandma saying they would be in the field working & go in to have the baby.. next day the older siblings helped take care on the babies so the moms could get back in the field. The women back then were built way different than they are in these, they were tough as nails!😬

Every time I had labor start, the baby came. No time to make the house sparkle. 5 hr with the first and 6 with the second…start to finish and 30 minutes from the hospital.

Babycakes, I had my 4 babies with no intervention, all natural, 48 hrs. Hard labor with one of them, even had my dr (while checking my dilation) say to me " it can't hurt that bad, millions of women have been doing this with out intervention, suck it up butter cup" i don't know what came over me (I was only 19yrs.old and this was baby number 2) but I reached down, grabbed a fist full of his hair, started pulling as hard as I could and then asked him" does this hurt,," i can't tell you what came next, needless to say he refused to be my dr. Some REALLY NICE Dr. Took over. I have 3 daughters and I am so thankful that now y'all have choices, I would NEVER want any of my grlz going through that cruel unnecessary torture. Thank you God, bless y'all's sweet beautiful family ❤

Here in Northeast Florida, we have been having temperatures in the mid- to upper 90s. Our grandson and his wife have had temps in the 105+ range and they live in western Idaho. Crazy to think about your post a few months ago about the worst snowstorm ever! Your girls are so precious. I love how you love them and see them as little individuals. As a side note, I would have kept cleaning until I had everything done that I felt needed doing, just like you did. I have a feeling a lot of us would.♥️

If you pulled the centers out of your lilies, the powder won’t get on anything and stain it, and it will stain it. You could save it and perhaps use it with hot water to change the color of a material like cotton or linen if you want to experiment with that That will stain wood back along time ago that was one of the best flowers to make a stain of. I'm late seeing this, we've been in the midst of moving from TN to Florida and i was back in TN all wkend packing up the rest of our things. So when I stopped at night..i was out😴 I'm sure sweet baby girl is here & you guys are getting all the sweet snuggles & kisses🥰 Your girls look so precious helping mom in the kitchen😊 Cooking, with their little aprons on, doing "good"😄 I love brussel sprouts baked in olive oil & covered in parmesan cheese, cooked until tender on the inside & just a little crunchy on the outside😋 The entire meal looked delicious! I got so tickled at little Ivy singing happy birthday😄 Your flowers are really pretty..i have NO idea how you worked in them in labor AND in that heat!!😮 You're def a rock star mama!! And believe me I feel you on the heat.. its just been miserably here in Florida, if you step outside you literally melt immediatly🥵 The heat just feels so heavy, almost feels like weights being lifted when you walk back into the air condition. I love the fall & winter scents of candles.. Those are my favorite! But I use the wax melts mostly. Well you always look beautiful, and i really think you did great job on the make up😊 Oh yes.. summer definitely isn't the best time of year to be pregnant! My first baby was born in February & my second in August, only have the 2. Its definitely tougher being pregnant in the summer months! Honey you much stronger than I could ever be..i would have thrown it in on about the 3rd pain that hit me😄 I pray you had a quick labor, safe delivery & a healthy baby! Thank you for sharing, especially during while basically in labor! I pray many blessings over you & your family!🙏🏻
