It seems that most of the KZbin realtors I follow always manage to "forget" their torches - why on earth they can't get the pocket sized but super powerful ones that are available now befuddles me. They'd be furious if a workman showed up at their home without the proper tools, yet they merrily go forth to film these videos without the proper tools of their trade ...

We would leave the kitchen where it is (Cooks deserve a good view and a terrace to cool off on). But, for guests, we would screen off a section of that huge living room for them. The Cantina? Music/Recording/Composition Studio 🙂

Need an architect and engineer to take a look at the place. The bottom, uh, basement levels are screaming 'kitchen'. The cracks in the laundry bridge are screaming that the extension is going to collapse away from the house (to a layman's eyes). Second bedroom needs to lose some space to a hallway between it and the bathroom so that you can access the roof terrace w/o needing to access the second bedroom. Otherwise, the place resembles a rabbit warren.

@lapsedluddite33813 ай бұрын
This one has great potential, I love it. The terrace has plenty of space for a good sized kitchen garden - using the green fencing as a trellis, and still plenty of room for a bbq and generous outdoor dining. Thinking about parking, I'd see if the person who owns the part below the kitchen would sell, then have the ground floor part of it made into a garage (with a dumb waiter to bring groceries up to the kitchen). The huge cantina is certainly large enough to make a beautiful separate apartment, or a traditional wine cellar/cold storage/ summer kitchen/ casual entertaining space, or any sort of creative space one could imagine First though, I'd definitely want a reputable engineering firm to "earthquake proof" the structure!

Well, I think you hit another one out of the park. One of my main criteria is 2 full baths, and that lower floor half bath could easily be converted. I would NOT change the layout, it would be a great room and a large eat in kitchen. No offense, but a lot of stuff gets left behind in these Italian places, and when I look at a video like this, I'm thinking...this will go, and that will go...just saying, there's a lot of room once some of this stuff gets taken out. And I would have some plans for that great terrace as well...thanks for letting an American grandma live vicariously through your video, You're the best.
@nancykrikorian91803 ай бұрын
Although I am not looking to buy a place in Italy, I really enjoy your videos as they help me dream and get my creative juices going. I look forward to each one as they come out. And you are such a fun tour guide. I really enjoy your comments and suggestions. I can’t help reply to this one. If a person had a budget, I would consider moving that staircase from the middle of the room to the side. Also, because of that large upper terrace I would be curious if the whole second floor could be opened up ( with the staircase moved) to have the kitchen/dining/living room up with that large terrace. Might as well spend the most time where the views are! And then I would see about making the main level into 2+ bedrooms with possibly 2 onsuite BRs. Finally I would see if the lower level could be used as a large family/tv room connected to the main level. Of course a girl can always dream. 😀

wow, what a great property. The front needs a total restoration, but to be expected. unfortunately the whole street needs love on a serious scale. the wife would take one look and say no. I suspect. you want the worst house on the block for price, and then bring it up to standards. But all that aside, it a marvelous house. Like you, I'd see if the kitchen could be moved and redo that room up for a master bedroom. We're old and might not be able to make stairs sometime in the future.you could easily live on one level in that house. That raised terrace is . . . . whats the word? Oh, Stunning. I'd put a small outdoor kitchen out there with a grill. leave that bedroom alone. I'd need to work in a bathtub someplace. Then you hit me with the bonus room. the cellar workshop ahaaaaa so great. I loves this house. and then its well under 100,000 too. so doable. if only my wife would say yes. and Polombaro is such a nice town. the views are . . . .oh yeah, STUNNING I want it for sure. Thanks for torturing me again.

Front facade just needs stripping of plaster on upper floor and cleaning old paint off lower level, light sandblast and repointing for a traditional rustic look. Otherwise, plaster lower level leaving stone around doorways and paint plaster in a vibrant color like all the buildings across from park seen at beginning. The street looks old since this part of town is more than a few centuries old and a lot of the places are just used for holiday homes in Summer and they don't care what exterior looks like. If the large Palazzo across street is revitalized, would expect quite a few more places along street will be bought by foreigners and "fixed up".

Too large for a modern family and people with megabucks would buy one in Tuscany instead to hobknob with all their other rich friends. If it's been sold, would guess it's to a developer or rich investor who plans on creating a boutique hotel/wedding location with that large garden it has in back or into large condos/apartments split out from the huge rooms on each level around the central courtyard. They are doing the same with a large Palazzo in old part of Casoli across the valley.

It’s hard for an outsider to understand what’s where in Abruzzo. The earthquake risk lessens dramatically as you move toward the sea and there is one spur where there’s less risk even inland. The weather is hard to understand because of the mountains, you can drive from winter to summer going downhill but I wouldn’t know how far up I’d like to live. Someone needs to create a good map of the area focused on the needs of retirees and expats! It’s so beautiful, it just needs to be easier.

He said it belongs to someone else after he leaves the lower level under house. Would be good to buy that if available as it also has two levels judging from view at lower road and could possibly even open up a garage there off of lower road like the adjacent property has.

@@angelomasciantonio That's really bizarre. They sold the top floor to the neighbor to build a bridge to it with a bath and converted the top floor to a kitchen. I wonder if they still live in the bottom two floors? Thanks. Ciao
@angelomasciantonio3 ай бұрын
@@wernerdanler2742 no one lives in those lower two floors under kitchen - very few windows. Probably used for storage or empty. The upper floor may have just been inherited when parents/grandparents died and they bridged across to it or there may have always been a bridge and lower two levels were given to another brother/sister. Happened all the time in earlier times were there was one property but 3 or 4 kids to be divided amongst. Go back about one or two months to a property video in Casoli where it was split over 3 different adjoining buildings with different floor levels.
