I've been telling my friends with middleschool aged children about your channel. This is the time when the state reports are being started and I encouraged them to choose Alaska and watch some of the videos of yours and the others who call Alaska home. Your videos are not only entertaining they can be used as a teaching tool, and travelers will like to know of these out of the way places. Until next time much love lots of prayers and many more videos! 💖💖

What a beautiful place to visit! Those wind turbines are massive. I live less than a mile from where they were made here in Arkansas. They had to make our on and off ramps much larger in order for them to get on the interstate with just the blades. So glad to see you out and about with your parents and Miss Violet ❤

Kodiak is beautiful! The house you stayed in was gorgeous too, especially the view. The food prices were only $1-3 more than the Walmart by my house in central CA, which surprised me. The gas prices were about the same. I'm so happy we got to witness Violet smile! Great video!

Hi Lauren. What a great adventure with Violet and your parents. First, Violet is getting so big. I love all her smiles and cooing. She just brings joy to my heart. Everything that you showed us looked beautiful! It was so much fun seeing you get excited over fossils and whale bones and all the things. The most precious was the moments with Violet and grandma and at the end grandpa. You look great and although I know how busy your family is you continue to share with us. So amazing. Love to you and all your family. ❤

What a great video! You’re right, so much to explore right in your own backyard! It’s always nice to get away for a day or two with parents and baby. You’ll all treasure those times for sure! It was a bonus to see your quick shot of the Orthodox Church! Lots of great history about orthodoxy and how it was introduced in Alaska.

Love the views of Kodiak. Violet is so adorable with her eyes open! I've seen wind turbines just never up close. With all the wind blowing, it's amazing the turbines are turning. Beautiful little Catholic Church. I'm sure it was amazing inside. I saw one of these small churches on the big island of Hawaii.

Thank you so much for the trip to Kodiak! I can not travel anymore and so I enjoy every video highlighting the beautiful state of Alaska. Of course the highlight of the state is their official state baby..Violet! She needs her own channel. Once she starts crawling strap on a go pro and her channel can be 'Alaska thru Violet's Eyes'. She is so alert and just beautiful. Your family went through alot the past year. Fear, worry, and sadness. But thankfully God chose to make sure you had this precious bundle to love. Your entire family is incredible. Mark and you have done a great job raising the boys. Can't wait for your next video. Bless you all.

Fun trip. My daughter and I spent some time there. We saw a small group of wild horses on Near Island . My husband went on a brown bear hunting trip, didn't get one, rained most the time and said he'd never do that again because of the high under brush. A very scary hunt because the bears can be so big. You're right though, the views are SPECTACULAR. Thanks for the trip❤❤. Love Violet's smile.❤

A friend grew up on Kodiak Island. He wasn't in the town part. I didn't even realize they had a town part until I saw your video. He grew up in the wilderness with nobody around them. He said they didn't have a TV growing up. He and his brother would go spend the summers with his Grandparents that lived in Florida. He said his Grandmother was the best cook and baker. She fed them around the clock. They stayed inside watching TV all day because the Florida heat killed them. He said they always went home back to Alaska fat, white and very happy boys! Can you imagine their parents face when they got off the plane? Btw, can Violet getting any cuter with all those precious smiles? Loved your Airbnb! Can't beat that beautiful view of the water!

What a beautiful trip with you. Violet traveled well. Kodiak is beautiful. I would be fine on a low adventure trip. Seeing a bear would give me a heart attack. Thank you for sharing. Seeing you say it’s chilly in June sounded west. Florida’s weather right now high 90’s and so very humid. It’s hard to enjoy outside activities. See ya next video.

A coworker of mine moved from Connecticut to Kodiak I think at the end of last summer, her husband was taking the position of fire chief for the island so they and their family moved from little CT to Kodiak!

Thanks for reminding me of great couple of months that I lived in Kodiak back in 2008. I was living in an apartment across the Walmart and used to eat from the Subway and McDonald’s in downtown.
