We found that place in the middle of the night. 😂 the old man was very sweet and has nothing. When we were there he had no lights in his little cabin. We happen to have the batteries he needed for his lamp. And helped him get his old ford started so he could go to town. ❤

Logging trucks can be scary, they don’t care if you’re a single guy or a nice family out on a road trip, they’ll keep driving the same way. We agree with not watching the news, it’s so negative that it can have an effect on your day. You guys are having one heck of an adventure and we’ve enjoyed coming along!

We've encountered so many on our travels, but this one was close. There was maybe a foot to spare between the truck and us going in the ditch. Glad you guys are enjoying our trip up North Island 🙂. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏

What cool trees! Beautiful beach! We agree with you Holger, Walter and I quit watching the news a couple of years ago. For example our son, from Edmonton, yesterday told us how bad the flooding was in Vancouver lol Would be cool to go at low tide and see all the little Islands. Cant wait to see where ya ended up until then, Cheers Walt & Joanne

Thank you for taking us on another adventure. San Josef Bay is truly beautiful. Really appreciated your comments re the news. And the wolves brought back memories from Campbell Lake in the early 50s when a pack of wolves would follow us from fishing spot to camp. They were curious, never threatening, and their howling and yipping was part of the wilderness experience.

The spot you picked had better vibes ha ha! Agree with you on the news, just depressing! Thanks for giving us something else to watch! Cheers guys! Erin and Greg

The Hills have eyes Lol. Great video guys, the first water campsite looked like the one but I know you would have had to back track. Totally agree with you Holger on the negative news the world has become pretty crazy these last several years. I have a strong belief that things are about to turn around for the better. God is Moving 🔥 Mean while we'll all stay in the woods. 😂😂😂😂

Thank You! Yes, we really liked the first site, but it would have been about an hour of backtracking and it would have been too much to do in one day. We have faith that things will turn around as well. The last four years have been beyond chaotic. But we also believe that these chaotic times have made us stronger and have allowed us to build connections with amazing people that otherwise we may have never gotten to know, whether that may be in person or just by sharing our little adventures. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏

Great video. You found the logging truck scary? That wasn't even one of the big ones, :) Put yourself in the shoes of a motorcycle rider coming up on one of those things!! LOL I agree with you about the news, I rarely watch it for that exact reason. The sounds of wildlife at night, so awesome. You're so lucky. San Jo...sure is beautiful up there!!

Possibly they haven’t experienced the larger trucks many times. Not sure what you’re trying to get at with your comment.

@@Madpositiveoutdoors oh nothing negative, that’s for sure. Just trying to acknowledge that yes they are scarey and that the bigger ones are even more so when you’re riding on a motorcycle. I do apologize if this comment came across as negative or something else.

@@Crittermoto all good bro. Yes the challenger trucks that were build in port Alberni were the biggest. A tribute to their builder John Casnave. He’s a true logging legend and still alive I believe. Cheers

Hey Holger, never tried airing down the tires but that makes good sense. As for "Good News", it doesnt sell, sadly. I agree, I rarely get too caught up into the news. Half of it is BS thats exaggerated to serve someones agenda. I find myself , when I do watch the news, getting caught up in worm holes that bring me auch anxiety. 18:24 yikes... be bear aware indeed. Thanks for another great video. See you soon my friends .

Airing down really helps on rough FSR/Logging Roads. We do not always air down, only when we get rattled through on rougher roads. 100% agree that good news does not sell. It's also more opinions than news these day. We do stay away from the news as much as we can. We think that if there is something that we absolutely need to know, we'll know. Thank You as always for your support. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏

Awesome times …the campsite gave us the same vibes we stumbled in the same yard on our travels on the island! A man followed us after we left and caught up to us which made us even more sketched out! Narrow road to have big logging trucks passing you😱🚛 The first spot didn't look that clean either. Don't eat those white berries! Yep, don't watch the news. They really like to sensationalise everything. We also hear about things that we don't need to. Then we get more and more stressed. Plus a lot of it is not news anymore, it's commentary meant to excite our emotions. Beautiful beach there😍
