Today I started on the Versetta Stone Install on the new building, Although I have never used this product before these stone siding panels look fantastic and the installation process wasn't very difficult. This will make a beautiful accent to the patio area of the new building where you enter the game room.

Stone looks great!!! I learned how to install from Kyle. I talked to him before I did my 1st install. That's why I suggested to you to watch his channel to get pointers. Cabin in the woods is loaded with Rosetta Stone and leared alot.We have installed about 40 pallets on 21 different jobs. To cut your fillers, get a masonary blade for your skill saw ( use a old skill saw if you have one). Kyle is a excellent craftsman and good at what he does. Have a good one!!!

Good morning Morgan's, Mike the best way to rip the cultural stone ,is use a industrial diamond blade. You can get a small blade for your 4 1/2 angle grinder, looking good.

Unless I'm mistaking the situation, you can also use an abrasive disk that's meant to go on your handy-dandy power saw. I've used that kind of set-up to cut a slot (with water flooding) in a concrete sidewalk to establish a break-off edge to shorten a walkway. Blade dimensions are similar to regular wood cutting blades. Gary

Put this Versetta Stone up on the front of my garage. Love the way it looks! Made all my cuts with a 4.5" grinder with a masonry blade and a masonry blade on my 7.25" Skil Saw. I can see that a wet saw would have been much better. Dust was pretty bad. Mike's right, once you get it lined out it goes on quick. Highly recommend the product.

I've been on planet earth the same amount of time and can say that I've never worked with that material or worked with a saw like that. I think that you are doing a wonderful job. It's one of those things where if there is a flaw when it's done, you're the only one that will ever know or ever see it.

Heck yes! The stone looks great! Nice compliment on the building. When we built South Caldwell High School, all the exterior walls were stone blocks. I was the one using the saw. After the third blade went bad my boss finally went to his boss who came to see what the heck. Turns out, the diamond blades were the wrong ones. These blades are stupid expensive. After the new blade arrived, my job of cutting went much better. Mike, as always you make the job look so easy. Sure this is your first time, but here you prove to all of us what great common sense you posses. Kudos to you, the stone looks great! I hope you have enough corner pieces. Now I'm ready to start my day, thank you sir for this great video, sharing the Morgans w the world! Awesome.👍🚜❤

I’ve got the EXACT same knee pads Mike. Great measuring there too. As an old carpenter (my ex-landlord) said to me once upon a time ( he was 90 when we met) “MEASURE TWICE, CUT ONCE.” He also taught me the CORRECT way to use a handsaw because that’s ALL they had “back in the day.” It’s the ORIGINAL “thumb drive.” 😂

Nice job on your first stone project! I've used those stone cutters several times. For those long 3' pieces, what I've done in the past is just free-hand it using the stone cutter. Mark you a cut line on the stone where you want to cut with your sharpie. Place the stone on the platform so that the blade lines up with your line on one edge. Turn it on and slowly push the stone through while following the line. If you run out of depth to get all the way through, just turn it around and do the same from the other side until you get all the way through. Any rough edges can be filed down too just by free-handing against the blade. Kind of like the way you would use a circular grinder saw.

Mike - Chuckled at you having to apply for a loan for the 2 x 4s. Good looking finish on the wall. I like what someone suggested about using it for the bar on the inside of the building. And Peter Mavas' comment about you not being "known for stone walling in life except for this vid..." made me laugh out loud. I got a look from my wife across the room, but oh well... Blessings to you and the family. Hi to Melissa, Hunter, Hannah, and Eva.

Nice job Mike. A few years ago I went to a pawn shop and purchased an old Makita portable job site saw and put a dry cut diamond blade on it for riping tile and stone. ( Different blades of course) one other suggestion, if you make a story stick you can save the fumbling around with the tape measure and speed things up a bit. Have a great day!
